Duquesne A-10 Semifinals
Dayton will play Duquesne for a spot in the A-10 Championship at 5:00. The Flyers should be heavily favored with a 14 match winning streak over Duquesne, wins in the last 7 matches against Duquesne at Frericks, and a 7-0 record against Duquesne under Coach Sheffield. Only one of the last 7 matches has gone to 4 sets and the closest match was won by Dayton with a 19 point differential back in 2008.

That's a 41 point differential against an A-10 semifinalist.
The largest point differential in at least the last 16 matches between UD and Duquesne, and the largest during the first to 25 set era by 12 points. (UD over DUQ in 2009 @ Frericks w/ 29 point diff is the closest)

If this had been a boxing match, the referee would have stopped it. We were as physical as I have seen all year. Just kicked the Dukes all over the court.

Paige was locked and loaded on defense all match. She was a digging machine. Maybe her best (cleanest) match all season. She was lining up Duquesne kills with aplomb, and then keeping her digs in play for relatively easy sets.
We were tip top tonight. Lets rinse and repeat tomorrow.

This comment is not intended to take anything away from UD's dominate win. Congrats, Congrats, Congrats! I actually wanted to say this last week, but didn't want to jinks us or provide any bulletin board motivation for the Dukes.
Duquense has got to be the biggest disappointment in the A-10 this year. They should have had a really good year and they just could not pull it together, for whatever reason.
And...here's my kicker... puts a real clear picture of that co-coach of the year crap they gave out last year.

Duqs coach was frustrated many many times about the team being in the wrong place defensively. He said that they held Duquesne's two middles to seven kills and that was pretty surprising.
