Duquesne game thread
Let's get ready to rock and roll! This is a big game for us. Bucky sounds pumped on the pregame show. I hope the team is as pumped!

Duquense radio guys just said the cheer for us was louder than for Duquense when we hit the floor. Lots of UD students in attendance they said.

I paid the $14.95 for access to the game. The audio is horrible. I will miss Bucky and Larry. The Dukes radio announcers are talking about how many UD fans are at the game!

I, for the first time all year, honestly have NO idea what to expect from this team tonight. To say its a big game is an understatement. They could win by 20, lose by 20 or anything in between. I am very very nervous.
Go Flyers!!

Two more turnovers in 30secs...11-7 Dukes, timeout Flyers.
RL is a good shooter, but a horrible passer.

11-9 Dukes at first media timeout. Mickey shooting 2 FT's. I think there's already 10 turnovers combined, 6 by us.

Team is being aggressive taking it to the hole.... I like it!
I am watching it on channel surfing and listening to 1290 through the web. The video is a few seconds ahead but it isn't bad. I get to watch the play live then hear what Bucky and Laryy had to say about it.

When you're throwing a lob pass to CW, I don't think you can throw it too high. Lowery's lob was way too low. Just throw it high!!

Mickey's gotta sit. Lost his man for an open 3 (which went in), then missed a 3 of his own.
OK - he just went out.

Gotta love BG switching it up with the zone as well as a "trap" of sorts versus the same old song.

if they take care of the ball and play defense they will win.
Is it just me or does Jackson carry the ball(palming) quite often

The team is playing with a lot of intensity tonight. Very good to see. The perimeter defense still leaves me wanting though. We'll see how the team does in the second half.
This game isn't nearly this close if Dayton didn't turn the ball over a whopping 12 times in the half. If we take better care of the basketball in the second half, we can put our stamp on this game.

Have to stop Jackson. Clark sat for a good portion of the half with three fouls. Let's see if the 12 man rotation wears them out. Very fast paced game. Like the fact we are showing some new wrinkles on the D with the trap and zone D. This will come down to free throw shooting.

And substitutions seem to make more sense tonight. Mickey not playing well - he went out. Charles not playing well - he went out. Luke with a bad 3 attempt - he went out. Gotta keep the guys who are playing the best playing the most.

Yes, you're right. PW is out tonight. Dodged a bullet with CW's non foul at the half. The DU announcers called it a make up call. Unreal. Too bad we couldn't score with our last possession of the half.

Playing good so far. Need to cut down on turnovers and play better defense. We cannot allow them to shoot over 50% and win.

I have to stomach the various trial lawyer (big time Democrat donors) ads during the TV broadcasts, so the Hannity ads on the radio simply even the score.

Looking good so far, but somebody please tell Luke he doesn't get extra points for being 2 feet behind the arc...

There are some guys who just do not hustle on free throw rebounds.

Little has not showed up tonight. Terrible defense and poor rebounding.

Maybe
we are 12 deep because if we only played 6 or 7 our whole team would foul out every game...I know they are generally fouls of aggression which i am ok with but some are just plain dumb.
Go Flyers!

Turnovers have to stop. 20 is enough. If we get to 25, I think we lose.

21 TOs and we are in the game. We have to take care of the ball down the stretch. RL once again with a big 3.

4 possession game with 4:31 to go! Need a stop on the D and a score. "Dayton's Defense has been suffocating" DU' announcers!

Gotta come back down and play defense after big dunks like MJ's. Can't let the momentum go away like that.

This might have been the best game of the year, minus turnovers.
