Fordham Game Thread
Let's keep up our good play on Sunday in the Bronx. Likely a home game at Rose Hill Gym haha.
Game is at 4 PM on Sunday afternoon and is shown on the CBS Sports Network
Projected Starting Lineup:
G 0 Antwoine Anderson 6’1” 190 RS SO Rochester, NY
G 23 Mandell Thomas 6’2” 185 SR Rochester, NY
G 12 Joseph Chartouny 6’3” 205 FR Saint-Hubert, Quebec
F 43 Christian Sengfelder 6’7” 238 SO Leverkusen, Germany
F 30 Ryan Rhoomes 6’8” 235 SR South Jamaica, NY
Jon Severe came off the bench in their last game.
The two seniors are the only ones that avg double figures... Rhoomes is having a really good year.
Go UD!

Severe was relegated to back up or part time last year. And that looks to be the same for this year. Rhoomes and Sengenhelder are great. Saw them in person last year.
think one of their guards are also solid. Should be interesting . The bigs are pretty good, but i think we'll be too much for them.

He was one of THE worst disciplined and shooting chukker's i've ever seen in A10 and college basketball two years ago.
No sense of the other players , just himself!

Most (if not all) games in the NE scheduled for today have been moved to Sunday. Fordham game looks like a go at this point.

We may not see the beginning of our game on CBSSN. The current game (East Carolina/Memphis is tied with three minutes left. Overtime certainly possible.

Looking good so far. Their press does not seem to be bothering us at all. Defense also playing well I don't think they have gotten any good looks, certainly no easy points for them.

I think we are going to see Crosby soon. DD cannot handle the ball against the pressure. We need to have Scoochie or Crosby on the floor at all times.

Fordham looking Fordham-esque. Let's keep it that way in the second half. If they keep running that defense in the second half, it should be shooting practice for Cooke and Pierre.

Bit of a let down at the end of the first half but a strong half overall. Hope to see a strong start and no let up at the end. I fear that the St. Bonaventure game has traumatized me for the rest of the year.

Correct! Stop the layups (helped by no calls on steps) and we should be good.

Fordham's start is giving Dayton every opportunity to blow it completely open. Dayton's start is giving Fordham every opportunity to close the gap. Neither team is willing to take their opportunities, yet.

Neubauer just used his last timeout of the game with 13 minutes left? Haven't seen a coach do that in a long time.

Alaa Abdelnaby continues harping on what "Fordham as the home team should be doing" and how "Dayton as the road team should be struggling" as if Fordham is vintage Duke playing at Cameron Indoor Stadium.

The Fordham player reacted without thinking and the technical resulted. Sloppy but we benefit. I really think that this Fordham team has some decent players and is close to being a competitive team.

Darrell Davis just can't deal with someone being up pressuring him. That's two straight offensive fouls by him.

Well, he would know all about Cameron Indoor Stadium.
And now, it's an 8-point game after Baby D just got called for his second "clearout" foul, & KD let his man drive the lane for a layin.

Scoochie is doing his best to impress his friends and family in the Bronx.
That was a huge 3 as the shot clock ran down.

I would like Cooke and Pierre to re-assert themselves offensively over the final 7:30 or so.

Why dig off Severe to a post player who has no moves. SMH.
Severe nails the wide open 3

That really made no sense. I suspect that situation was drilled into them, too.

I think I've seen more incidents of referees taking the ball away from free throw shooters this season than in my whole life prior to this season.

And against a stronger than usual Fordham squad. I think Neubauer has a chance to turn that program around. Good thing they're not that good yet.

Especially losing by 12. That game could turn out to be 2 wins in 1. RPI boost from Iowa winning, and slot in the Top 25 (possibly) opening up with Purdue becoming PurDon't.

Could not possibly care less about Top 25. Most voters have no idea what they are voting on.
To get in the ESPN scroll not only need rank teams to lose but also the those receiving votes ahead of them.

Pierre with a subpar game, but Scoochie and Cooke stepped up. Pollard once again lost in the ozone. No offense and some poor defense.

Not as subpar as DD and KP. One has to be concerned that the two of them are our first guys off the bench and have continued to be inconsistent over much of the season. Today DD shot 0-3 from the field, had 3 TO's and 3 PF's in limited action.
