The other guys kept it close, but without DMO's 15 points in the 2nd half, we're toast. Good think SBU stopped the Xavier-flops in front of him in the 2nd half so he could stay in and do his thing. SBU finally got rattled when we took the late lead. Our rebounding killed them and led to more points. We had more assists, too, and as many turnovers.
Amazing that the SBU fans were complaining about the refs! Specifically,too many offensive fouls. Are you kidding me?? Not enough, especially when Gav got creamed while camped out waiting for the charge and got charged himself.
Our bench really came through today. Bench point count: Dayton 28, SBU 13. All in all a good win and now bring on URI for some revenge. I'll be there with my red "uniform" shirt on.

DMO and Vee co-players? That jumper to put us up 4 with a minute left by Vee was ridiculous, hands in his face and he nailed it. Then DMO with the cold blooded free throws to close the door.

Gotta give Vee Sanford a lot of credit too. He made some huge shots throughout the game, most notably with 1:12 left. Big time performance from Vee. He is really turning it on as of late. More than anything, I think his penetration game has got our team back to moving the ball around. He has done a great job of driving and kicking (as well as driving and scoring).

	Don Donoher DON DONOHER Legendary Flyer men's basketball coach who guided Dayton to 435 victories in 25 seasons (1964-1989) including the 1967 NCAA Runner-Up. Took over the program after the passing of Tom Blackburn and earned many NCAA and NIT bids over his career, including five Sweet-16s, one Elite Eight appearance, and the 1968 NIT Championship. Groomed All-Americans Don May and Jim Paxson, along with all-time leading scorer Roosevelt Chapman. Coached UD as they joined conference affiliation for the first time (Midwest Collegiate). With mass communication being what it is, I would have thought that the SBU Homecoming Queen would have a better sense of fashion. The poofy shoulders just aren't a good look. I would have suggested something with a straighter line to accentuate her slim figure. But, that's just me.
