Scoochie ?????
AWOL again last night? Out of control at times... Can we longer expect two good games in a row. What's the problem? As we continue in the season and into tournaments, we need a more consistent performance out of our point guard. Crosby is doing "ok" most of the time so it's not like there isn't breathers for him.

Crosby wasn't OK last night. I thought he kicked off the comeback with stupid play including forced shots and turnovers.
Sometimes it looks like SS is bored out there.

Not a coincidence at all that when Crosby is under control and getting minutes then SS game is good.....SS was exhausted last night because JC was terrible in the 2nd half.....This, and having to beat the press the last 6-7 minutes, affected SS overall decision making and FT's...

Why is Scooch so tired this year, but didn't have any issues with fatigue last year?

Scoochie played 28 minutes, Adams played 40. Posley played 38.

I don't think Adams or Posley played at all in the first half. At least to the point that they expended no energy at all, because no one on their team did. I guess they were saving it all for the second half!

They weren't getting doubled and tripled on the press and having to go the length of the court the last 6-7 minutes especially with UD playing terrible defense and the Bonnies scoring almost every single time down..That's called playing under stress and if it ain't easy.....Just saying him playing poorly has other circumstantial reasons affecting his play..

If it was just this game I would buy everything your selling but it has been noted on this board that Scoochie seems a bit off.
He played 37, 34, 34 minutes in the A10 tourney last year and went 11/14 in fts.
He played 40, 40, 37 and went 12/16 fts in the NCAA tourney.
I am sure someone will tell me if I am wrong but I don't recall any discussion about his play being off because he was gassed.
Love Scoochie but there does seem to be something a bit off.

Scoochie got off to a bad start last night... tried to drive into traffic multiple times, somewhat out of control, and made a few turnovers.
Think he was trying to do too much, and not let the game come to him.
He just needs to be our floor leader first, and scorer second.
(Loved his no-look pass to Big Steve on the break in the 2nd half)
I firmly believe Scoochie will again be one of our best players come March.

too much sex? new girlfriend?
poor grades? hard to tell what' s up with players
You would think a guy who has great success and consistency his first two years, would continue on that trend. Sometimes it doesn't happen.
Personally i think he'll be fine. But do wonder.

Archie started the season saying that in past years Scoochie got off to slow starts and one of his goals was to get off to a fast start this year. He did, but is now slumping. I think it is about focus. My guess is as Rebel said above as we get closer to March he'll get it going.

I also feel that when all is said and done, we will be okay with Scoochie but just don't blame any of his shortcomings last night on being gassed. The Bonnie's guards were working just as hard (or harder) and they made their fts.

Watching his free throws last night there was definitely a different approach to misses and makes. Just a little more time taken before each FT to focus and follow his routine would raise his percentage.

Scoochie had no legs on his last half dozen foul shots.

This year he got off to a fast start. He was incredible in the Orlando tournament. I still contend he has a physical issue.

Just thought of it. Saturday's game is in the Bronx. Let's see how as Scochie does in front of his cheering section.

We often don't find out about nagging injuries until the season ends.
