Only an 8 pt lead after Matthews keeps launching and hitting bombs for the Bonnies. We should maybe guard him..

The start of the second half was the key! We came out with the "eye of the tiger". We hit about 4 dunks and CW missed one. That set the tone. This is our house! CJ........what can you say? He's the man!

Great win - a little nail biting when Mathews started draining 35 footers, but only the Flyers can make you bite your nails with a 15 point lead.
CJ and CW !! Absolute stars! And props to RL for making the free throws down the stretch.
MJ had an off night and still scored 15.
All I can say is they took care of business today.
18-2!!!

Congrats, Flyers! 18-2! 4-1 in the A-10. Bring on the next Saint - Louis and go 19-2. Man, Matthews sure can shoot. GW falls to Rhode Island in 2 overtimes.

Listening to Flyer Feedback
Shame they don't know the correct score. Keep on saying an 18 point win. I know we are excited about the win but 80-68 seems a bit short of an 18 point win. good win by the Flyers

I think it was 5 dunks and a 3 by RL. We put our foot on their throat.

Yeah, I see Gametracker still shows us winning 83-65 - I think they credited Mathews' last 3 to Chris Johnson, giving him 20 for the game.
What was the spread anyway? The difference between 12 and 18 might be important to somebody's pocketbook...

The worst 18-2 team in the nation
Okay, so let's take the possibilities represented by the fun and the enthusiasm of Sunday's win and see if they can translate it into some toughness and better defense. Let's beat somebody good for a change. Yeah, they shot a lot better this time around..keep it up.

Only caught the last 12 minutes--18 holes took longer to play than I thought.
I've said before, I have no complaints if they always play like they did against Marquette
This was a great win; I took the Bonnies and 14 points--UD wins their game and I won some money

Speaking of MJ, on the BG show today Larry Hansgen joked with BG about what BG said to MJ after the GW game. He said something like, Marcus, why don't you show up for the first half next game. (Marcus had 2 points in the first half and 15 in the second half.) It was pretty funny and BG looked a little surprised that Larry mentioned it.

About 40 other teams. Our RPI is terrible. Like I said, let's beat somebody good, or at the very least, not lose to anybody who's not.

I didn't know an RPI of 42 was terrible. Somebody better tell UCLA, who has an RPI of 40.

One last DDN report before this thread is buried:
"UD fans make impact"
St. Bonaventure coach Mark Schmidt thought his youthful team was spooked over playing before 13,408 fans at Dayton on Sunday.
"We're very inexperienced, and that's the largest crowd our guys ever played in front of," he said. "It's a great environment. It's one of the reasons you come to an Atlantic 10 school, to play in a venue like that. Our guys were looking forward to it, but at first, it's a shock with the loud music and crowd.
"If you're going to be successful, you have to take care of your home games, but you have to win some games on the road. And you're going to go in some hostile environments, and no place is more hostile than Dayton."
MUSIC!! Gotta love it.

Wouldn't you like to know what the new Commissioner REALLY thinks when she goes to games at some of those crap arenas around the A-10 and then comes to a game at UD Arena. She's probably thinking, "Man, I'd really love to have the A-10 Tourney here in front of 13,000 rabid fans to showcase the A-10 on CBS but the AD's probably won't let me."
