Dayton sweeps Davidson 3-0
UD wins
set 1 25-16
set2 25-19
set 3 25-18
Its a win but they didn't look pretty.
VCU trashes SLU in set 1 25-12
from a 20-20 tie, VCU puts SLU away 25-20 and lead 2-0 at half.
Announcers are saying that VCU is the fast team they have seen all year. Fast pace sets and kills.
VCU hitting .368 to .179 for SLU and leads in all catagories.
Dayton will need their A game on Sunday.

SLU looses 8 point lead but hangs on to take set 3 26-24. SLU announcer Coach K he calls himself is a terrible announcer. Yells in the mike calls the judges out for terrible calls and is such a homer it is embarrassing. SLU changed libero at half.
I'll take Keith any day, he is even tempered and gives the benefit of doubt to the judges.
VCU leads 2-1 going into set 4. VCU is lightning fast on passes and sets. Dayton will have its hands full on Sunday.

VCU takes SLU in 4 winning the last set 30-28.
Both teams had double digit serve errors.
Hope Horsman got a chance to watch the match as it started after the UD match with Davidson. Gotta be ready for VCU as they are for real.

Was at the match. Fairly sparse turnout of Red Scare.
Thought we played very well most of the first set - starting out 8-0 helps. Let up a bit late in the set. Second set was a little flat but decent. Third set we fell behind by a single point twice but rallied to put them away.
Hard to tell how well we played - Davidson's record is bad (2-10) but I would not say they were La Salle bad.
Impressed with the improvement of Sloan. Both she and Turner were hitting out of the back. Sloan's serve is probably second to Turner's on the team and her digging was pretty solid.
Big Match Sunday. It's early, but winner takes over first place.

On paper I didn't expect yesterday's match to be a good one but Sunday is a different story. Our aces last night exceeded our return errors! Three players with two aces which is very nice, Jessica, Alaina and Kelsey
You always hope to disrupt the other team's offense with great serving. When a team runs a super fast offense they need to pass the ball well, if they don't it creates situations where the blockers have an advantage

Jessica Sloan tallied a career high 2 assists, and Krafka is now 5th all-time in digs with 1,249 (180 digs needed to tie 4th place).
