For anyone out of town, you can catch tonight's game on American Sports Network, if you get it.

For Dayton area folks, the beginning of the game may be cut off if the first game runs long on ASN. You can see it in it's entirety on MyTv Dayton. Time Warner Cable 995, Digital Channel 45.2, Dish TV 44.

There is a link titled "ASN Affiliate List", and one titled "Local Listings" on daytonflyers.com
and both of those links list WKEF -2 in Dayton as carrying the Dayton at Saint Bonnies game???

If true, great; but if not, then perhaps UD should fact check the information on that list before posting it.

I have DirectTV, and it's an issue, because one could easily count on those two links and list for accurate information.

I understand that; but I get WDTN channel 2, so my zip code doesn't matter. It's either on channel 2, or it isn't. And if not, those links are inaccurate.

And, to make it more convoluted, I just recalled that WKEF is actually 22.

Those links say WKEF-2, but WKEF is 22.

The ASN channel list is very suspect. I moved to the KC market a few months ago and am still trying to figure out where ASN is actually broadcast. Every listing refers to KCMN D-4, but I have yet to see any sporting event being broadcast on that channel at the appropriate broadcast time.

BTC, "WKEF-2" means WKEF (channel 22) sub channel 2. This is the way digital over the air works. (WKEF has 3 subchannels, so the main WKEF/ABC feed is 22.1, ASN is 22.2, Antenna is 22.3 and GritTV is 22.4.)

With that said, Sinclair Broadcasting (22WKEF/45WRGT) have been broadcasting ads that say the UD/Bonnies game will be on 45.2, the 45.2 subchannel of WRGT.

As Figgie posted the game is being advertised as broadcast on 45.2 in Dayton. So whatever channel your provider uses to broadcast 45.2 (MYTV) is where I would look.

So, ASN is a mix between old style Raycom syndication, and full-time sports programming. In the Dayton area, 22.2 (WKEF subchannel 2) is 24/7 ASN broadcasting. Other areas in the country only show games at certain times and they are interspersed with other programming.

Based on rabbitears.info website, KCMN/ASN is 42.4 (what your TV says). (Though wiki says 38.4, so it's one or the other.)

Thanks, Figgie. I've tried both channels and neither show ASN programs when the schedule, on the ASN website, indicates. I have a feeling that the assigned channels have a right to broadcast the listed events, but have chosen to air programming that will have greater local appeal.

ASN is run by Sinclair Broadcasting. Sinclair Broadcasting owns both WKEF22 and WRGT 45. ASN may have multiple events running at one time, therefore, some of that is shipped off to 45.2, if they feel the need. In the Dayton area, 22.2 is the all-the-time 24/7 ASN home.

Yes, I am watching BC vs Richmond on 22.2 and it says ASN. What is also interesting is the DDN says the game is at 8PM and on channel 45. They got the radio station right!

Is this an example of "False News" intended to confuse the world's population? Did the Russians hack the DDN? Oh I could keep going, but not.

I agree with some others. This listing sometimes gives the wrong channel. Look for ASN on the Guide on your TV.

The TWC guide has the game on 995 (45.2) AND 996 (ASN). I know many people bash TWC, but it is the best place to get all UD games.

And, since I have little else to do today I looked up the Direct TV listing and no ASN is available.

Fortunately I have an antenna, cheap rabbit ears, hooked to my 60" Visio and can easily catch the game over the air, with a very good picture.

The 995 vs. 996 issue for TWC subscribers is simple:

995 is the dedicated, 24/7 National ASN feed (and it's WKEF's digital sub-channel), which means they will air the 6pm EMU/Toledo game to its completion before picking up the UD game.

996 is WRGT's digital sub-channel that does its own thing, and it picked up the UD game, a la carte, from ASN, and will begin broadcasting it at 8pm sharp, regardless of what happens in the earlier game on the national ASN feed.

If you have a choice, either courtesy of a TWC subscription or by picking it up over-the-air, I think you know which to pick.....

According to my TWC guide, you have those channels reversed. Channel 996 will be showing the 6:00 game and then the UD game. Channel 995 (45.2) has picked up the UD game.

The game was on TWC in Cincinnati on channel 342, which is NESN.

I had no idea that this was the case, somebody called and told me.

We only have to go through this one more time this season. The February 7 game vs. St. Joes is on ASN. All other games are on ESPN, CBSSN, NBCSN. Oh wait, I see that the Feb 21 game is on TWC SC, not a problem for me but those of you blessed with UVerse or Direct TV may take issue.
