Dean Meminger

Rest in peace Dean. A great college player for Marquette, the guy who sealed the deal for the Knicks in game 7 in '73 against Boston . . . a tough life . . . drugs. NIT MVP in '70 - when Maguire passed on a NCAA bid to play Houston in TX, and our Flyers took that bid. Always remember what Maguire said about Meminger's speed: "Dean's quicker than the 11:15 Mass at a seaside resort."

"Dean the Dream". Remember him well both as a player for Marquette and the Knicks. I was not aware of any drug problem he may have had.
