Guess Who
My brother-in-law found a box of photos at a garage sale a few years ago and gave them to my brother. In it there are hundreds of photos and negatives from Flyer days of yore, 50s, 60s, and some 70s. I was going through them for my UD themed remodel of my basement and decided to post a few for the benefit of UD Pride.
#1 Can you guess the Flyer player, who we're playing and the season? Extra credit for the player on the other team.

I'm guessing this one is from 1956-57, as Carmen Riazzi wore #23 at the same time Bucky wore #12, and CR graduated in '57. No clue who the big guy on the left is.

It's odd, when you look at those photos, it looks like they are playing in the dark!

So THAT's why the old Flyer squads used to do so well in the Fieldhouse! The other teams couldn't see!

Pictures
#1: The Legend Arlen "Bucky" Bockhorn scores on Hank Stein of Xavier.
#2: Big Bill Uhl (Sr.) receives pass from Bucky Bockhorn with Carmen Riazzi in the picture. Riazzi looks like
Tommy Hatton.

Picture #1 is indeed the legend, Bucky Bockhorn. The year is 55-56. The X player is James Boothe, who was a 1000 point scorer for them.
Picture #2 is Big Bill Uhl, Bockhorn #12, and Carmine Riazzi #23. The Duquesne player Dave Ricketts who went on to play professional baseball for the Cardinals and the Pirates.

They used flash photography, because the film speed was too slow. Imagine driving the lane and >FLASH< I wonder how many shots were missed that way?
