Scoring is up
due to fouls being called and personally I like it. I think the one adjustment that has to be made is to stop the stuff we saw late from Pangos last night. He would drive, initiate the contact and get a foul called. The one call late where they had a baseline shot of his drive showed that Sibert did not put a hand on him or impede him and Pangos dropped a shoulder into Sibert, initiated the contact and got the call. That needs to stop.

I'm Whacker and I endorse this message.
Also, if it's automatically a foul for the defensive player to use an arm bar, then it should automatically be a foul when the offensive player uses a forearm to push off or create space.

Amen. That crap that Gonzaga was pulling needs to be corrected. If the defense establishes position and the dribbler drives into him that has to be a foul. That is far different than an offensive player jumping toward the basket and the defense running in front of him. To add insult to injury, there was little contact on some of those plays.

For that matter get rid of most of the block and charge calls. Call charges where guys clearly get dump-trucked and fouls when it impedes the offensive player significantly. Minor body contact - play on!

Scoring is up because teams are shooting more free throws, not because there is more offensive flow.
I don't like the new rules, you can't call a foul every time somebody touches another player on the court.

Pretty sure Stockton wi?th no hope of scoring and coupla defenders nearby, bumped our defender too. Seems like a Gonzaga tactic. Their guards are small, and while Pangos is clearly very good.... these bumps and tactics are a shorter mans compensation.
Very good use of his body by the Canadian but very iffy!
