Mikesell: ballsy three. Alabama player: clutch three-point play. Smith: big basket with the clock winding down.
Crazy.

Short of literally walking off the court, I'm not sure what else Kyle Davis could have done there to avoid a foul.

The only thing I could think was to foul him hard enough to keep the shot from going down or giving up the 2. Since he missed the FT, no harm.

Poor guy. I feel for Josh. He was a real difference out there today. Strong play at the end and his leg just got stuck under him as he fell when bumped. Can only hope it's not as bad as it seemed. Ugh.

I literally feel like I want to vomit. I think its been since Oliver Purnell that we had a healthy roster and full compliment of weapons. That Cunningham fall looked uglier than it sounded and thats next to impossible.

Great road win. We make free throws and that last play isn't even necessary. No idea about how badly Josh is injured, but it certainly didn't look good. This is a TEAM, though, so the boys need to keep working with or without Josh. Certainly hope he is okay because him and Pollard together could be VERY nasty.
Prayers for Josh. Hope he is okay.

IF he is out for the season, I believe he can apply for a medical redshirt and gain a 6th year of eligibility after next season. I think you can play up to around the first 6 games of the year, maybe 7 and then not return the rest of the season.
Lets pray that is a big IF and not a when.
First blush seeing the replay on my computer, it appears that he broke his leg, not his knee, but I'm no doctor and I couldn't replay the replay so its just a wild ass guess. Really, really hoping that he "just" jammed it bad and he can return in a few games.

Don't think it matters when it involves a medical situation. Hoping it's not necessary, but Josh would most likely be eligible.

He could petition for a medical redshirt year to give him 6 total years. The QB at Western Kentucky(Brandon Doughty) last year was a 6th year senior who got a 6th year via medical redshirt petition.

That too, but we still need XW because, well, I know you hate to hear this, but KP has a habit of getting into foul trouble. I just hope with all this time off, he's been practicing his FT shooting.

We gave them 6 shots at 61-58- before they made one. I thought that might be it for us, but we did a pretty good job to keep control of the game and made enough free throws. This is a big win on the road, but I too didn't think we looked that great. Cunningham appears to be his ankle versus he's knee. Hopefully it's not too serious. We are a different team with him in there.

Cheep, dirty, what every you want to call it and no intentional foul. The defender just went into the body and never tried for the ball.

You are correct. I believe if you play less than 20% of the season you receive a medical redshirt, but let's keep our fingers crossed and pray for the young man.

We have no rebounding or defensive presence down low without Josh. I thought he should've returned at the 4:12 mark when it was 61-58 Flyers and Alabama missed 3 shots and still had possession. Then they missed 2 more but still had possession after the tv timeout. He didn't come back after the t.o. and then Alabama laid one in. Scooch gets 2 FT on the other end and then 'Bama throws down low past Sam for the jam. We miss, they go down on transition and blow past XW for the lead. Finally, at 2:30, Josh returns.
If he is done for the year then Kendall is the only thing close to this that we have. I don't see the nose for the rebound or the defensive intensity from Sam, XW, or Mikesell that is needed to replace Josh.

If he is out, he can get a medical redshirt. There are a few scenarios and this is one of them for the 6th year. You can't have played in 20% of the games and all of those games must have taken place in the first half of the season.
I hope for Josh's sake it isn't bad but I'm not holding my breath.
Team wise...the big got exposed against a physical team today...it was bad just missing Pollard...Josh missing...existing bigs need their balls to drop and become men in a hurry.

X has to grow up quick and play more low post, and block out on defense.
Kendall can't get here quick enough. Prayers for Josh and his leg!

Two biggest stats of the game.
1. We had 9 turnovers the first half and finished with 11. Biggest reason we played so much better in the 2nd.
2. They didn't shoot free throws well either, which kept us in the game.
