Gregory has to have them play defense like they've done the first three games. This team can 11 deep, 11 and a half if Williams can play in small spurts.

Big game for us tonight. We really need to keep up the pressure. This team is not deep. If I were Mercers coach I would slow this game down knowing the depth of our team. If Kurt can pass tonight we'll see some big flushes from CL and CW tonight.

London Warren with steal to start the game, Marcus missed the lay up, but Wright flushed the follow up jam. I know you can see these stats, but I thought youd' want to hear that.
And now alley oop dunk by Wright!! Nasty!!!

London's Defense is so tenacious. He forced another turnover.
Fathreezius hit a deep one.

Why does Gregory sub guys out after they hit a shot or two? So strange. He has done that for years.
Anyway, Flyers are playing well. All over them defensively and flying to the defensive boards.
20-8 at the under 12 for those of you that can't see.

Wright just blocked a ball about 15 feet, leading to a Lowery lay-in.
You have to admit, it's pretty dang fun having athletes like this. Defensively, we're just EVERYWHERE. It's like we have 6 guys on the floor.
Lowery with a 3. But then a bad turnover.

He said London was "walking it off," but he's already back in, so he's all right. Also, their point guard was injured, but is also back in.
So, everyone is good.
And we're up 17.

30-10 at the Under 8.
Luke is 3-4 from deep.
Only 10 points in 12 minutes. I can't believe we can lock it up like this. I remember posting over the summer that we should have very good defense, but even I couldn't have forseen this. It's just relentless. I would lose my mind playing against London Warren.

If this team keeps up this defensive intensity all year, I couldn't care less with BG's substitution patterns. In order to play this kind of defense, he needs to keep running guys in and out, regardless of their offensive input. This defense is the key to this team succeeding.
That's why it's nice to have such a deep team this year.

Can we stop comparing Luke to Binnie now? The only similarities is they'll both dive on the floor for a loose ball. Shooting, it's night and day.

Chris Wright is 33. I wouldn't leave him open either, but Luke is 23, if that's what you mean.

Hustle is great. The play of the half is the Little dunk. Wright is playing tough, but his hands are lke rocks so far tonight. That is fine as long as he is blocking shots like this. He does have to stop that running shot to his left. He is tried it probably 6 times this year and has not been lose yet.

We're reaching too much, but I understand that sometimes that happens when you play defense that hard, but we need to watch that.
London Warren's line on Gamewatcher has him with 5 assists, 0 turnovers and 2 steals. Yowzers.

We are committing way too many hand check fouls.
Don't get this.

Why do people keep looking on channelsurfing when the game is free from the link off of Daytonflyers.com?

What are we shooting from beyond the arc? How about a little zone now to end the half?

It's free on channelsurfing too and I don't have to install any software, like I do on daytonflyers.com.

41-20 at the under 4.
I'll be sure to give everyone the stats at halftime, for those of you who are just relying upon the thread.

Apparently it's a "point of emphasis" this year. Meaning they will call anything remotely close to one.

channelsurfing is also free and, at least on my computer, it's usually seems to be a better picture quality

I love this 1-2-2 zone they've been playing with CW and CJ at the top.
Plus, they don't really seem to lose that intensity in the zone, which tends to happen and why I tend to loathe zone play.

I think we are better at this point of the season as we were last year at this point of the season. All due to defense, and the improvement of PG play.

Great first half of basketball--one of the best this team has ever played
Anyone hear anything about Paul Williams? Again, the only scholarship player who hasn't played yet

I've noticed our ball movement is sooo much better on offense as well. Maybe that's because everyone isn't relying on BRob to do pretty much everything at that end of the floor.

Watch for a play to be run so Luke gets a shot out of the timeout.

Wow. Didn't expect this. Very impressive so far, just hope we can bring this energy and aggressiveness vs. Auburn (hate the SEC) and Marquette (hate the Big East even more).
