Flyers Puke Coat Hangers in 3-1 Loss to Duquesne

Game recap: http://www.udpride.com/forums/showthread.php?t=31293

A complete embarrassment. Everybody not named Pestell and maybe Johns was a train wreck. Defense, midfield, offense. Duquesne pushed us around like rented mules. Women vs. girls out there in the 2nd half.

You'd think on a night honoring those touched by breast cancer, wearing pink, you could show a little courage and fight like those who know what a real battle was and is. Instead, we just rolled over. Nobody was home tonight in the ticker department. I keep saying we are better than this, but, maybe we aren't.

Sunday is a MUST WIN.

Unfortunately this has been the story for too long, too many girls who give there all in HS to get a ship, then just coast along at UD. A few really hard workers but far too many softies.

Last year really exposed this. One of the worst non con and conference results......then come A10 tourney and we throw 3 shutouts and blister St Joe's in the final 7 to 0.

What that showed is that the talent was there but not the effort. Coach G has to change that mentality

The worst part about losing to Duquesne is giving up the early goal to a team that is considered a second half team. But Duquesne is no pushovers, they also maintain the only win this season over STL which is the top RPI in this league and otherwise unbeaten. It's not like Dayton lost to a very bad squad.

As for the story of Dayton, the schedule strength has been rather conservative IMO and that does not usually help when A10's roll around.
