Feel terrible for Dwayne. Thought he’d be a big contributor off the bench this year. Time for the young guys to step up.

Dang, that sucks. Best wishes for the young man to a speedy and full recovery and a chance to dominate in 2021-22.

That is a huge loss. He really made strides the last half of the season.

If my math is correct 2020 is over in about 77 days or so, can not get here quick enough.
Hoping DC comes back stronger than ever and can be a team leader his final two seasons, not playing behind our trio of senior studs at guard this season.

Terrible for him, all the best for a speedy recovery. Forgive me for possibly being insensitive, but can Weaver still apply to be eligible this year?

Awful news. Just awful. Seemed like he was really getting after it in the off-season and knew he was due for a breakout year. Next man up. One of Break, Luke, or Blakney need to seize the opportunity. My money is on Luke as I see RJ as more of a wing.

Nooooooo!!! I feel so bad for Dwayne. He worked so hard as last season progressed. I was looking for him to have a breakout year as our 6th man. Best wishes to him for a full recovery.
And yes, 2020 cannot end fast enough!

Every time I plug into UDPride and see that there has been 100 posts since my last visit, I'm afraid to open the basketball forum. 2020 just won't let it be good news consistently. Crap, this one hurts.

I think this news impacts Koby Brea more than anyone else as the decision needs to be made whether he red-shirts this year or not? What is the deadline for this NCAA decision?

If the NCAA is giving every winter athlete a waiver for this season, there is no reason to redshirt Brea (or anyone else) in college hoops (or football for that matter)

I'll tell you over the years UD has been snake-bit more than any other program it seems when it comes to bad news either on the injury front or otherwise. Obviously, this is a drop in the bucket when it comes to what's happening all over the world with the pandemic but from a pure basketball standpoint it's been as bad as it gets.

I don't think there was any chance Brea would redshirt regardless of what may have happened with Cohill. This kid is going to see the floor this year and contribute.

Dang. I thought down the stretch he really improved and was making significant contributions. Wish him a speedy and complete recovery.
