Then if due to injury, illness or foul trouble, its the next man up. But, there was no backup planned for the center position. Sam Miller is not that guy. He is a forward. I even gave examples like Johnnie Davis and Donald Smith made each other better by practicing against each other. Prior to Steve's death and I continue to believe that you've got to have succession planning for every position.

I agree and have said Miller is more of a 4 than a 5. But, Kurt Huelsman was 6'10" 245, Searcy was 6'10" 240, Kavanaugh 6'9" (For his first 3 seasons and then grew to 6'10" his 5th year) 250, Alex was 6'9" 235, Benson his senior year was 6'9" 228, Robinson 6'9" 243 and Scott 6'9" 215. My point being, Miller at 6'9" 244 is right in line with all the big men we have had, other than Steve, in the recent decade. I think with Sam it is more of finding a position that he is comfortable playing. He seems much more like TJ Kline like big man who has killed us in the past.
