2018-19 starters
Will be interesting to see who steps up between returners transfers and new recruits. Going to be tough to replace Burdette and Layfield. Harris not so much.
Only player I see as a starter for next year is Scaife. Only one who can create her own shot. LC24 has the experience but not the handle. May start 1st game but doubt she keeps it. Great 6th man but a streaking 2 guard.
Ward is probably worst 5 star out of HS I've seen. Big jump from HS to D1 ball. Needs get in shape or will be sitting the pine.
Wilmuth shows good upside, better than I expected but will have some serious competition.
Anxious to see what Giacone or Parkinson brings after recovering from injuries. And what the transfers bring.
Freshmen could be impact players by league time but don't expect immediate results.
Potential is there to be better than this year's team baring injuries but will depend on point guards and ball control. Shauna really needs change the culture regarding ball control. Ratchet up the defense too.
Looking forward to what 2018-19 team looks like.

Besides Wilmoth, Lauren and Scaife, the other playing minutes are wide open. I suspect many will play to open the season, then by conference play, it could be down to those three and four or five others. I would bet on Skeens being one of those.

Really hopeful on Skeems and couple others but jumping to D1 from HS some are ready and others have to adjust.
Agree by league play we should have our starters and rotstion.

Lauren may have to play point guard out of necessity early on though I'd rather see her at the "2" guard. I can't see anyway she won't start - certainly with the three point range can stretch the defense.

Isn't the transfer from SC a point guard. If she is, I anticipate her starting.

Araion Bradshaw played in 24 games- averaged 6 minutes a game- totaled 18 assists, 10 turnovers and 6 steals so hard to say if she's ready to step in and be the point guard.

Well she was a freshman playing behind others on a national championship team. She has been able to practice with the team the entire year. She is not the transfer who was injured. Only the coaches and other players know how she did this year, I certainly don't, still I expect her to start, or at least get the most minutes at point.

I think the following will start just based on watching them play and what the positional needs are:
Bradshaw
Cannatelli
Scaife
Wilmoth
Chandler
We need some height in there to rebound. I think if Bradshaw was good enough to get recruited by South Carolina, she is good enough to play and start at UD.
I am excited as we will be deeper and we know what some of these players can do and their roles are (i.e. Dennis, Parkinson, etc.) and we have some unknowns in Fowler, Giacone, Davidson, Skeens, etc.
Good times to be a Flyer!
Go Flyers!
