How in the yell did we win this game. We couldn't buy a bucket in the first half even if we offered 10 times the going rate. Great job by the coaches and the senior leaders to keep everyone in the game until shots started falling. Unreal win.

Actually, I can remember four. Marquis Jones did it twice, Dustin Hellenga, and Jimmy Baron. Now we can start our on string of Darrell Davis, Xerius Williams, etc.

Consider This
While there were many stars for UD in the game I must applaud Archie and staff and KD for the final play of the game. I expected KD to be guarding Matthews but instead he was directed by the staff to guard the in-bounds pass because Rhodey had a Freshman in-bounding. KD's vertical leaping interfered with the in-bounds pass and the Flyers win.
What a great strategic decision by coaches and execution by our defensive All-American
Kyle Davis.

That's the second time in the last few close games that they put Kyle on the throw-in opponent. The last time he barely got two fingers on the ball and it landed in our hands.
Everyone underestimates his vertical.

Everyone that posted during the first 39 minutes and 50 seconds should go back and read all of their posts and then think about how bad so many of them sound. I am fine with a little criticism but tonight just set a new all time high.

That's nice but do you seriously think we should detract every comment about Crosby and Sam Miller?

Stating the truth should never be wrong. Do I get tired of threads being hijacked by comments about JC? Yes. But when a thread was started that was dedicated to JC it was locked. I'm not out to disparage JC or SM but open discussion and fair criticism should be allowed. It seems to me that some people here want to have all the comments to be positive and not to allow any criticism of any player. That is not reality and people need to realize everything is not sunshine and good feelings.
Add On:
I'd also like to add this is a game thread where everyone is reacting to the action as it happens in real time which generally leads to more criticism of individual players.

It's like current politics where those with opposing opinions try to shout down those with dissenting opinions. Why shouldn't we rail against gross incompetence. We saw it again tonight despite a great win. And I'm tired of our good players having to overcome it time and again. One day it won't come up roses. Can we only laud the good players? And not comment on the freak show that happens every time our backup pg touches the rock or the Marshmallow gets smoked.

I got one tonight for joking that I was going to Tonya Harding Crosby! The coward of course didn't sign the red pip because they're scared to stick up for themselves. I have no problem if people disagree with me but at least have the balls to sign the red pips you hand out.

My dad always said if he were a college coach he'd probably have a "fine fee" written into his contract where a portion of his salary was automatically put into a separate pot to cover his inevitable ref-induced fines.

Q: When Miller was forced to put Smith back in the game with three fouls earlier than he would have preferred, why didn't URI just start attacking Smith? Isolations, pick-and-rolls to get Smith switched onto a big man...anything to get Smith's fourth and maybe fifth. I thought Hurley missed a huge opportunity to really put Miller in a tough spot.

Exactly. Are we just here to say "way to go" and "nice try"? We can criticize.
I started the John Crosby thread to keep a lot of that in there, and for some reason it was locked. Are we supposed to pretend that he is not on the team?
