Article by Bonsu
But not like, Oh, that kid’s really good at basketball. Nah, it was more like, Oh, that Jeremiah kid down the hall? He’s a weirdo. He never goes out. He doesn’t like to drink.
I remember spending my first Halloween on campus — notoriously one of the biggest party nights at Dayton — alone in the Rec.
I guess they were right. I didn’t want to drink. I wanted to ball. And if that made me weird, then I liked being weird. Honestly, I didn’t really care about what all those kids thought of me when they saw me walking into the gym in shorts and a T-shirt at 9:30 at night.

A wonderful story about a great spirit that shows you can be who ever you think you can be through confidence in yourself and hard work!
It's a good thing that he is a FLYER!
AND one for LIFE.

Dear Archie, somehow find a way to get this young man a couple minutes of action in one of our many blow out victories this season. Thank you!

I think it was Winston Churchill who said, "I always read the sports page first. The sports page chronicles man's accomplishments, the front page chronicles our failures."

That was incredibly well written by a student. I read it because it was about one of our own Flyers, but I loved it because it was a great story. I am now rooting for Jeremiah and will be following his career. I think he will be a fan favorite this Senior season and will earn some PT.
"You may say that I was just in the right place at the right time — that I didn’t really earn that spot. You know what I’d say right back? Yeah, I guess that’s true. But I also put in an extraordinary amount of work to put myself in position to capitalize on the situation. All of that work was worth something. And I’m not done fighting for more."
Great stuff

Great article Bonsu!
Did anyone notice that Big Steve was in the background clapping as Bonsu went up the ladder to cut net?
I hope he continues to achieve his goals. There were some previous players who might have prospered with Bonsu setting an example

As I was reading I kept thinking to myself, this guy is going to be a coach. Then I smiled as I read the end. Good luck Jeremiah.

Really nice opportunity for Bonsu. Michael Huger, the coach at Bowling Green, is a really good young coach who seems to be building something there, recruiting at a much higher level for them. I can see that program putting up several 20+ win seasons in the coming years under Huger.
