I should be over this by now, but I'm not
ESPN's crawler this morning included the following titanic matchups from last night's men's BB lineup:
Jacksonville St. v Norfolk St.
Valparasio v Cleveland St.
Indiana-South Bend v IUPUI
East Tennessee St. v Marshall
Mississippi Valley St v Creighton
No mention of the team that's ranked #29 IN THEIR OWN POLL of the top teams in the nation. (Or wherever we're ranked)
Nah, what people want to know is how Stony Brook did. That's big news.

I can't believe that the talking heads at ESPN didn't know that the Dayton University Raiders had a game last night!!

Lol... I remember that... funny stuff...
A side note, we're not ranked anything right now.... They rank the top 25 teams, not the top "however many teams get votes". Yeah, if it was the top 30, we'd probably be ranked, but now, we're not

Don't we have that fancy direct feed from the Arena scoreboard into ESPN also?

Hey, don't make fun of Stony Brook -- they have an ex-Flyer. Big Dez is not doing so well though, averaging one basket for the entire year.

Which is hard to do with a burrito in one hand and a beer in the other.....while handcuffed.

Actually, Big Des made his first appearance for Stony Brook last night. He played six minutes and had three fouls shots. I'm guessing he may have been "suspended" for the first five games for his DUI affair.

How far we've come...I totally remember this board thinking how great it was to finally get a big player when we recruited Des. I remember being among those thinking we would finally be able to compete physically inside. Instead, we got the "big" but not the "player," and Kurt (regardless of what some posters think about him) is a HUGE improvement over Des. I do miss him looking for people in the stands that he knew during timeouts, though.
