Will Marquette pack it in?
The natural answer is yes, but I am not so sure. It seems we have been successful against power programs recently because they are too arrogant (maybe that is too strong of a word) to adjust their style of play to us.
Last year, Pitt switched the high ball screens on Roberts instead of doubling teaming like the A10 squads had been doing throughout his career. They paid for it. These squads look at the nonconference as preparation for their conference season. How often are they going to be able to pack it in and let teams shoot threes in the Big East?
Now, I dont think they are going to ignore our strengths and weaknesses. They will probably pack it in to a degree. But their game is pressure and pushing the ball, not packing it in and walking the ball up the court. I dont expect them to play us like Bethune Cookman.
They will play to their strengths, not our weaknesses.
