Nat'l Anthem at CAVS game last nite

[Piqua Flyer '66]

Did you hear it?
Did a double wammy on me......
Goose bumps and eyes welled up.
The Flyer Faithful gave a good effort to
sing the Stars Bangle Banner at last seasons
basketball Senior Night.......I think it would be
great to build upon that effort aND sing lound
and strong before each game just as the CAVS
fans did last night.
We have so much to be thankful for - let's show it.

Over 12,000 fans a game put the Flyers in the Top-30 nationally in attendance. Fan spirit and support growing to other UD sports and athletic programs as well.

I truly enjoyed the Cav's presentation of the National Anthem. however I thought our fans gave the best "performance". (Granted, I was in the crowd for Senior Night and not at the Cavs game)

I kinda agree with Lifelong.... Cav's rendition was very cool though! But at the risk of sounding picky, some fans need a lesson in respect and NOT cheer as the rest were singing.....

This should be the norm, not the exception. Fans should sing loud and proud at all games. I would much rather hear fans who cant sing than celebrities who butcher the words, jazzed up musical versions, etc.
