'67 Flyers Programming Note
For those of you fortunate (or unfortunate) enough to have Time Warner and TW Sports Channel, they will be running a 30 minute program prior to tomorrow's VMI game -- highlighting the 1967 National C'ship runners season, including Don Donoher.

It was on last night and it was great! Hartsock interviewed Donoher, Gene Klaus, Bobby Joe Hooper, Dan Sadlier, and Don May. Great memories! It is also on tonight at 7:00 and 8:30.

I would love to see it if it is archived somewhere. Spent many a night in line for tix in 66/67/68. One time they issued the last ticket to the guy in front of me in line. Had to watch it in the cafeteria where they had about 20 black and white tv's set up - and they sold beer, (I think it was about 20 cents a cup) so it was a great party even if you could not get one of the 500 student tix to go into the fieldhouse. Pretty magical days.

Just imagine what it would be like for Flyer Fans if someday they made a 2017 Dayton Flyers show to remember a final four run. Or 2018, etc.
Wouldn't that just be the rip? A man can only dream and imagine how freaking cool that would be. Never to be laughed at, or snickered at, for being a Flyers fan again. Just imagine what Morgan Miller could tweet out to Northwestern fans then.

Born in December of 69, so the whole standard bearer was in place when I was growing up. The 70's and early 80's were still full of folks who remember those 67 games like it was last night; and I always enjoyed hearing about it, believing in it, and thinking it could/would some day happen again. But aside from the spring of 90, the decade of the 90's was pretty hopeless in this regard.
I do think the program is on the cusp of a final four run, but obviously untimely young deaths, and season ending injuries, are difficult to overcome. Yet, every squad that makes a final four must overcome some obstacles and hardships, that's the nature of any season that last four to five months.
Will it happen in my lifetime for UD?????? Or, in your lifetime????
What do you think? Why or why not???

In the next five years, counting this year.............we will make a Final Four. Rubber stamp it, put it in a time capsule. If Archie sticks around we make it. We were 40 minutes short once already. Once you get there, its a two game tournament and ANYTHING can happen

I don't know if it's in the rotation for today/tonight, but as a companion piece to the '67 retrospective TWC had a half-hour show called "Conversations," in which Hartsock interviewed Archie. It was also really good TV, and made for a solid hour-long block of Flyertainment; even if they are not running back-to-back before or after tonight's VMI game, it may repeat in the near future.

Not sure who has the copyrights to it but perhaps someone could get permission or ask them to do it themselves. Just a thought.

I just saw it today at the 3:00 showing on TWC Sports Channel (channel 311 here in Dayton) and thought it was very interesting. Brought back some good memories.
Here is a list of future showings:
Sunday, Jan 1, 7:30 AM and 4:00 PM
Friday, Jan 6, 1:00 PM
Sunday, Jan 8, 7:30 AM and 4:00 PM

Any further thoughts or ideas for those of us not having Time Warner Sports as part of our package as to how we can access, buy or rent??
