scorekeeping question: DD's 3

On the box score at both daytonflyers.com and yahoo sports gave DD's 3 point game winner to Scooch and gave Pierre's assist on that play to DD. Does that ever get changed?

Since I went to bed before I received their stats, I saw your post, and replied to the stats email with that question.

We will see what occurs.

They probably have already fixed the stats. The ones I have must be old ones.

The URI box score shows DD as 2/2, as well as NCAA.org shows DD as 2/2. ESPN is also updated.

I just hope that when URI/UD athletic personnel wake up this morning, they see my email, and send me updated files.

But, Pierre is still credited with the Defensive Rebound. Which, was probably hard to see from the scorer's perspective, but it's close enough.

I read the stats constantly during most games. The mistakes are there many games, especially on rebounds and blocked shots. If you have ever kept stats, it gets to be hard to see through the big bodies from the bad angle you have at times at the scorer table. Now the errors on the shot by Baby D and the assist by Pierre are hard to explain, other than stat people are fans and can get caught up in the moment.

As of now the DaytonFlyers.com boxscore is updated to show DDavis with 2-2 from 3pt land.

Cooke was 1st with +10, but DDavis was second with +8. (But with less minutes, DDavis per40 of +15.40 was team best.)

My Golden DNutz polls are based on ESPN box scores, which aren't always right, especially 3 minutes after a game has ended, and is why (sometimes) I include or omit players. Big Steve had that 6 block game a couple weeks ago and ESPN didn't include that stat at the time I started the Poll...so he was left off. The common serf(s) around here darn near started a hostile take-over due to his omission. But thanks to my endearing personality, 20" biceps and the Rollo-given ability to persevere, peace was quickly restored and the Kingdom was - one again - Royal.

And due to the popularity of the Golden DNutz Poll, I am under incredible pressure to post it within seconds of the final horn. But fear not my minions, because - like you - the Poll isn't perfect - like me.

Those 20" biceps are the only thing that kept me from coming up to Dayton and hunting you down for that omission.

I had the misfortune of meeting Rollo, and when he says 20" biceps, he is correct. Of course he is measuring around both of them at the same time.
