Personally, I will take Archie over any of these great coaches. That's why the University of Dayton needs to do everything possible to keep him here. He is a winner and he would build great teams year after year.

"Miller’s team has mastered the art of running opponents off the 3-point arc while constantly communicating on a defensive string, as their opponents get only 35.1 percent of their points from 3-point range. That ranks 16th in the country. With the right coach, small-ball can work on defense, too."
That's got to be surprise for just about everyone here. Seems that our 3 point defense has taken a lot of criticism this season. However, above stat says different. I guess the percentage of our opponent's 3s made is probably bad, but it's neutralized by the fact they aren't getting many off apparently.

Interesting when facts get in the way of emotion.

I'll take the recognition and agree with it entirely. Archie is now one of the hottest coaches in the country. That said, I really don't think this writer has a clue as to the makeup, strengths and weaknesses of the team.

Look at the schools Archie is lumped in with. - USC, Iowa, Texas, Florida , Arizona. All big name, basketball and football programs. Shaka Smart is playing with someone elses recruits. Some of these big name coaches just recruit big name players and let them play. Archie deserves credit because he "coaches" his team and develops players. How many of these big name programs guys could have "coached" their way last year when our biggest player was 6'6"?? Archie Miller was a real find for UD's program.
