"The Flyers come in and stole one" - Ole Miss announcer
The freaking understatement of the month!!!! I called it when we cut it to 6. I could see that we were going to see that we were about to give the Rebels a colonosopy.

And Josh B with great first half , some help in second half.
That's grit. Defense and wearing the other team down. Way to go BG

Very VERY happy to be wrong in my score prediction.
Whatever happens with this team the rest of the season, the question (if there ever was one) about their heart and character has been answered.
Way to go Flyers!

The SEC isnt the strongest conference in the country but they are plenty strong enough that I want any RPI bump that beating Ole Miss will bring UD.

I would like to take this time and offer my sincerest apology to Josh Parker for criticizing him in the 1st half. He was huuuuuuge in the 2nd half. I also apologize to the team as a whole for stating Ole' Miss was a better team right now then UD was. Apparently, they are not. Ha! The improving I thought this team needed was done over halftime. Talk about a quick improvement!
Wow! What a win. These guys showed heart. Their best player had a bad game, yet we still win on the road against a SEC team. That shows me these guys are a team and will pick each other up when one is down.
I love it! Go Flyers!

Don't sell CW short. His energy and activity in the comeback run was important. Sure, he was awful offensively, but this could have been a game he sat out mentally in the second half. He didn't. We don't know what impact senior leadership and his effort has on his teammates. He brings energy and leadership. As he goes... UD goes.

Great Comeback. Way to turn it around the second half and overtime.
This was big to go on the road and pull out a win like this. It will help our confidence going forward.

This likely will be seen as a very important win and will pay off later. More importantly, this is the type of game that will pull together a team. I like how they never gave up and came back.
We are going to enjoy this team and this year.

Gathered round the computer listening to the game with the wife (UD grad) and kid, none of us can believe it. Granted the kid is only 18 months old so she also can't believe every time the water comes out of the tap, but she still seems to sense how pleasantly surprised we are.
Well done UD.

i think perhaps BG is getting to be a better halftime adjustment coach for the reasons you mention above. he saw the problem, pointed out the second half focus of rebounding and defense.
and we got back to the fundaments of D and rebounding that are now UD standards. a little offense along the way didn't hurt either

LSU has to be the luckiest team on Earth. Now Dayton finally has some luck. Whatever you are doing Canonball keep it up!

Talk about a quick improvement!
Wow! What a win. These guys showed heart. Their best player had a bad game, yet we still win on the road against a SEC team. That shows me these guys are a team and will pick each other up when one is down.
I love it! Go Flyers!

Well, I'm in the same boat...lot of egg on my face in that first half but oh well....I love the win. Last year's team doesn't win this game. This team showed me allot tonight.

Josh struggled on the defensive end, that is a fact. He (and a number of others) picked up their defense in the 2nd half

I was too caught up in the game to post in real time, and I'm glad of it, because I was one bummed out poly-ana (an ana with many sides...) for the first three fourths of the game, but I hung in there, dreading the worst.
But!!!!!
Third quarter the Flyers amped up and the Rebels were on the run. Gassed. Looking over their shoulders. Trying not to lose.
Who'd a thunk we'd win a big comefrombehind road game on free throws. That, and moxie. And conditioning.
And welcome back Chris Johnson! He was off last game, and CW was off tonight. Look out if they both have big nights at the same time.
Juwan grew tonight. He has this under his belt, and will probably look back on this as a real trial by fire, thrown into the deep end and coming out smelling like a rose.
What a fun Saturday night!!
Ole Miss is a tournament team. This was a big win.
(By the way, and this is just the celebratory beers talking, are there a lot of Mexicans or Spaniards at Ole' Miss? Every time they missed, I yelled "Ole'!")

And I miss Pol Pot's farm policy.

This game really tested my flyer faithfulness but I managed to listen to the whole thing start to finish. Stayed up until 4 AM here in Berlin. People gave me some strange looks when I jumped off the couch and pumped my fist when we took the lead. Great show af toughness from this team. I compare this to the Villanova game last year were we came all the way back from being down similar margin. The difference this year is that we managed to get over the hump and pull a win from the jaws of defeat. I cannot picture us winning this game without Josh Bensons play.the same could be said about Parker, or CJ but in the first half benson single handedly kept us in the game. CW had a slow night but he did bring some energy late to help start that run. I think that dunk that brought us to within two really demoralized Ole Miss.
It's one thing to win a blowout. It's another thing to win a close game.
But the ultimate test of grit is to win a game like this and really steal a win from a good team.

Every week has been baffling, but they keep winning. Hope it rubs off on the Flyers!
