Nice tape Dwayne
He looks really polished for a Freshman. In both body control and size. A few moves reminded me of Scoochie in his last years.
I temper that with the fact that he looked like his opponents were the Washington Generals.

What kind of competition is this.... He had a couple good moves at the basket, but for the most part it looked like he was playing against kids 5 years younger than him.

I was impressed with both videos...this young man handles the ball so well; switches hands at the hoop to finish; shoots off the dribble; and is generous with his passing. I don't think I have seen a better point guard at the high school level.

Dwayne Cohill is a solid 4 star according to verbalcommits.com! If you go to that web site and search players there is a video from his freshman year at Holy Name High School. The kid was a baller even back then and has only gotten better!
Also, more videos on you tube!

Should I be concerned he is still marketing himself? When is the early signing period?

The league they play in now are schools from small cities - not like back in the 60's when they played in the Cleveland West Side schools. Still remember going to the Thanksgiving City Championship game at Cleveland Browns Stadium. Cathedral Latin (my school and representing the East) and the West Champion was St. Ignatius, who had a quarterback by the name of Brian Downing the most recruited quarterback in the nation. He went to a Ivy League School.
Game drew over 40,000 people.
Both Cathedral Latin and St. Ignatius had enrollment if over 1200 boys each.

What I recall as the dominating northern Ohio basketball program from 1956 to 1972 was Cleveland East Tech Scarabs. It was showtime.

East Tech warmup drills looked like the Harlem Globetrotters. They did some amazing stunts. Still root for the Scarabs.

A friend of mine told me he went to the 1960 State Finals where the 27-0 Dayton Roosevelt team of Ray Brown, Buford Davis, John Henderson (who later played in Super Bowl IV in 1970 for the Minnesota Vikings), John Shehee and L.C. Snow defeated Cleveland East Tech 51-41!
The interesting part is that he said all the Cleveland East Tech players were dunking in warmups and they really put on a show. When the whistle blew to start the game the Scarabs scored so quickly that it was 6-0 before the dust cleared and John Woolums could even call a timeout!
