Kurt kills me. Another blocking foul. Put him on the bench there is no one for him to guard against this team since they don't post anyone up. Put LF back in.

Flyerpassion, were you under some assumption that luke was going to be our defensive stopper this year? What press clippings were you reading? What on earth are you talking about? He was known as a 3 pt shooter. That is it. He is now at 37% for the year. He'll get even better. Get off the dude's back.

It's official. We need the win tonight to earn the #3 seed and the bye.
Temple beats GW, 63-53.

Why is Kurt in the game? Can't we just play Luke at Center. When KH is in there it means that LF has to guard a quicker player than he can.
Please someone tell me I am not crazy for thinking we don't need KH this game

I think LW has higher FG percentage when he is fouled compared to open shots

LW will cause flyer fans to have heart palpatations--misses an easy lay-up and then hits a tough one as he's getting fouled---

Why the heck do people think Luke can play center for anything other then spot duty? He's a 6'9" shooting guard, maybe small forward, lol.

I would call playing just tonight at center spot duty. The other team doesn't really have a post player so the matchups dictate that it will work tonight.

That was a great out of bounds play that led to that PW bucket. Very nicely done.

PW keeps getting better and better! He is certainly a nice player with some excellent tools! I love the fact that he goes inside to mix it up a bit, and he can hit the long range 'J' as well.

IAFlyer,
On head-to-head, Duquesne wins the second tiebreaker, which is best record (by win pct.) against the teams by order of finish in the conference. Duquesne is 1-0 against the Musties, and Dayton is 1-1.

What a messed up tiebreaker situation. I figured it was something like that. The team that has to play the top team in the conference on the road takes a hit on the seeding.
The unbalanced schedule just has some serious issues...

I think it's safe to call this the:
First undefeated home season in school history --> EDIT: Might be Arena history, not school ...
and
The first 25 win regular season in school history.
Congrats BG and the entire Flyer team.
Thanks for 4 years CL, hope you find success out here in the real world!

Luke has got to be player of the game. 17 points and 4 rebounds. He won this for us with that stretch in the first half after Thomas tried to give it away.

Actually, this is now moot. The tiebreak we need to explain to them is the three-way tiebreak for second place.
Don't listen to Larry and Bucky (or Harrtsock). We are the #3 seed, and we play Thursday night at 9:00PM.
Now, i have to sit down and figure out the four way tie for 5th place to see who we might play then.

Cool, thanks Chef. At this point it doesn't really matter what seed/time/who we play. It's tourney time....March Madness time....and just time to win, baby!

Blame that on the guys in the game starting with Perry who fouls Jackson with 2:00 to go, then we throw the ball away twice and let them hit a couple of 3"s. I would have come through my computer at BG if he put in the walk ons at that point. Good coaching BG, bad playing by us.

I think Mickey fouled on purpose to get the clock stopped so Charles could come out. That's what itlooked like to me, and Larry indicated the same.

I totally disagree. We were inbounding the ball with less that 30 secs to play and a 12 point lead. We didn't have it in hand by then?
Gimme a break. How stupid.

Yeah, you missed Phinhead54 not giving a shizit about the walk-ons getting into the final home game of year because the team got lazy over the last minute of the game.

Ya know what ... your comments at least used to make me laugh a little, now they are just ridiculous. We needed to win this game, not throw the walk ons in for a token 30 seconds, if it was that important, why not start them? Let's not lose focus on the important part of the equation here. If you'd listen to people here all year we need to make it into the tourney for BG to keep his job, if that's the case, you think he's going to jepordize that?

No, it's you 2 who don't get it. You've both proven that through the season over and over, I'm done with you guys.

Jack72 is another guy that didn't want the walkons in with 30 secs to go and a 12 point lead.
How stupid. Ever see anybody erase a 12, in fact I think 14 point lead with less that 30 secs to go?
And after these guys busted their a$$e$ all year for someone to not throw them some scraps under the table, like a dog?
Totally disgusting. Where is the timeout to pull your starters?
Geesh, I don't even want to talk about it anymore, except to say, I wouldn't walk on next year. Last game at home for the season and he blew other opportunities earlier in the year to do the same.
Like I said, for all the bright spots, totally disgusting.

Good!!!! I'm glad to hear it!!! I haven't EVER brought any negative attention to myself, EVER, on this board. So for you to say I've proven through the season over and over?? What?? What have I proven? Finish your sentence!
I usually ride kiefaber455 unmercifilly for his negative posts. Just ask him.
You just don't get this point, that's all. Never played sports have you I assume?

To bad, I was going to tell you to meet me sometime at Foxboroughs (Route 41 and Rattlesnake-Hammock Rd) so I could tell you why you are wrong to your face.

As mad as I was at BG for not getting the walk-ons in tonight, I have to say I tip my hat to him for doing something that my favorite Mr. Donoher didn't do, or Coach Blackburn either, and that is he went UNDEFEATED at home this year.
Great job Coach.
ps...still mad about the walk-ons though.

Ahhh come on, we're getting spoiled already. Do we sound like Duke fans yet?
If we win so much, we have to find SOMETHING to argue about.
