BEVERLY HILLS (MI) – “FTS” has a habit that is probably shared with many of the Flyer Faithful: rewatching the UD game to see what you missed the first time thru. Here’s what I noticed:

– Having Enoch Cheeks and Nate Santos power driving to the basket will always be a good thing for the Red and Chapel Blue.

– If nothing else, getting T'd up a few times has cured Koby Brea of his habit of woofing at opposing players or pointing to their bench. Brea had 5 opportunities to do so vs. Davidson and behaved himself on every one.

– After Koby made a few triples he did a heat check and launched one from out by the logo, but missed.

– When #12 in white snared a carom, the announcer said “Rebounded by…(glances hurriedly at the box score)...Padegimas.”

– Avery Johnson complimented a Davidson big man for not bringing the ball down when he caught a pass and scored. The replay showed he brought the ball down. Later Johnson redeemed himself by giving Deuce a “hockey assist” on a pass that led to a pass that resulted in a triple by Fuego.

– Deuce stopped to tie his shoes late in the game. C’mon dude–you gotta do double knots. I guarantee they will never come untied.

– Hopefully Makai Grant will get another chance to get his name in the paper. His made shot attempt was a mere millisecond after the shot clock expired.

– For a UD team that has struggled on the offensive end recently it was a welcome sight to see all 6 of their key players in double figures vs. the Wildcats.

– Also nice was UD hitting 10-12 from the charity stripe. That kind of percentage will serve them well in the postseason.

– With the W the Flyers secured the very valuable double-bye in the Atlantic 10 Tournament in Brooklyn in two weeks.

But he has the Red and Chapel Blue as a 7 seed:

– Jalen Crutcher made his debut in a New Orleans Pelicans uniform, getting 2+ minutes of run vs. Jacob Toppin in a win over the Knicks. It will be Peanut Butter and Jelly time Wednesday night in Indy on ESPN.

– ‘Voice of the Patriots’ Bob Socci ’89 launched broadcasting career as UD student:

That’s it “From the Swamp.”
