S. Parker Bernard memorial scholarship fund
I saw UD posted about this on their Facebook page the other day but I had forgotten about it until my wife reminded me today. This might be off topic, but I've met Parker's dad and sit near him at the games. Parker was a big UD fan who tragically passed away from a brain tumor a couple years ago. There is a scholarship fund in his name and we made a small donation today on his behalf. Please consider doing the same if you're able.

EJ Williams
My son is an 8th grader on Dayton Metro and played in this Tournament...which is always competitive. I know Scott Parker well...coached against him in 4th and 5th grade...and when Parker passed my Oakwood 6th grade team dedicated our next game to Parker. We all signed the game ball and sent to the Bernard family with a note saying that for 1-day, Parker was our teammate and a Lumberjack.
Great tournament. Great family. Great kid. Great memories.
In our first game in Parker's Tournament we played Queen City Prophets...they have an 8th grader out of Middletown named EJ Williams who is 6'9" and an easy 250 lbs. Soft touch around the basket and makes his free throws. Remember his name...now that he's losing his baby fat he's looking more and more like a future stud. I'll download a picture of him from my phone later...

I have known Parker's dad since since we were in elementary school. Very tragic and one of those things I can't imagine having to deal with every day

8th grader, 6'9" EJ Williams...This is the best I could do...
The other 8th grader everyone is watching is L'Christian Smith from Wayne...but he goes by 'Blue'. He's a 6'5" dunker that already has the attention of all the powerhouses. At the OSU v UM game 2 weeks ago my son saw him sitting in the front row behind the OSU bench. Later that night Blue posted a photo of his ID card on Instagram that said 'FUTURE BUCKEYE'.
Remember their names...
