Come on..admit it....
Sitting here watchin with a couple of Flyers buds.....game goes into OT and we all just look down at the floor, all believing that no way we pull it out in OT..
Then we go down 4 with just over a minute in OT and I figure that's it game over......
Great win....Great game DO!

There were a couple of key defensive stops toward the end of OT. Also, the offensive foul was the killer for Ole Miss. I may be wrong, but the big guy did project his hip into Price. I think it was a classic moving screen.

I admit when we were down 4 in ot I texted my brother that it was over. He had faith. I say it was my reverse psychology that won it. Well that and DMOs banked 3.

I admit it. With the way the officiating was in regulation, I thought it would be even worse in OT. I told my wife we would get drilled in extra period.

outside of all the ticky tack fouls ole miss was getting, i think worse was the baseline OOB where henderson wasn't allowed to move then proceeded to take 3-4 steps to the side and make the inbound pass. official standing right there didn't call anything.
just awful. the commentators even mentioned it.

I watched game on a tablet with a small picture. It looked like there was a lot of contact inside but Kav et als held their own and we got some nice inside points and rebounds even though we shot about 28 three pointers. Was it Pierre and Scott that looked frustrated Ole Miss and the refs? The Clarion Ledger in Mississippi says that Ole Miss "bungled a handful of late possessions" and "let an opponent stick around." I thought this was an excellent win against a decent SEC opponent on its home court. I think this cancels out our away loss but not the USC at home loss. We have a week to rest up and sets up well for a home opener against SLU next weeks. If ever a home crowd should be into it, the SLU game should be it. Too bad I'll be in NJ but hopefully watching on a big screen TV and not little tablet screen!!!

Even worse the UD coaches were clueless as well, but a win is a win.

Lot easier when sitting on the sidelines, in the stands or home watching on TV. Once he in-bounded the ball they weren't going to stop action. Call should have been made as he moved and prior to in-bounding it. Very little time for coaches or anyone other than the refs to call it. Who knows if the staff yelled or not but once it was done it was done. If it were easy to see everything going on in the heat of battle we'd all be coaches.

Just showing how little I know here, but what is the rule regarding moving on inbounds? And on the situations where you are not allowed to move, are you just confined to a spot or do you have a pivot foot established and is it like a travelling call? Can you shuffle your feet within the "same spot"? And if there is a violation, does the other team take over at the same spot with the same rules?
(I know I could look it up, but this way is more fun,)

Pretty sure you are confined to a 'box' on the inbounds if it isn't a made basket situation (but not sure enough to make a bet).

The referees indicate whether you can move or not. On a non basket, there is no box, you must stay stationary. After a basket or free throw, you can run the entire baseline.
There were lots of bad calls last night. UD fans screamed all night. Ole Miss fans screamed a lot in the second half.

The ref will swing his arm in a elephant trunk motion if a player can move. I do not know if the ref did in this case, or just missed seeing Henderson travel. Sometimes as a ref you go brain dead. It happens. A bad call but not as bad as the constantly letting Summers shoulder our defenders.
I do not understand the comment about our coaches were clueless too. How do you know that? What can they do besides say something. This isn't football where you throw a replay flag. Maybe more of a show for the crowd and TV, like jumping up and down and yelling while he takes his head out of the game?

Not correct.
The "thrower-in" can travel, as long as he stays within a three foot box (with no depth restrictions). See below from the NCAA Rulebook ( http://www.ncaapublications.com/prod...ads/BR15.pdf):
Section 6. Throw-in — Requirements
Art. 8. The following pertain to a designated spot:
a) The designated spot is the location at which a thrower-in is presented
disposal of the ball out of bounds as in 4-11.1.a through .c.
b) The designated spot shall be 3-feet wide with no depth limitation.
c) The thrower-in must keep one foot on or over the designated spot until the
ball is released. Pivot foot restrictions and the traveling rule are not in
effect for a throw-in.
