That made a "yuge" difference.

Cline is what Sam should aspire to be. Hopefully he learned more tonight by watching. He sure had his hands full trying to guard him, for the few minutes he was out there tonight.

Actually that's obvious. He has the physical skills to play D1. And that gets you offers.

He makes poor decisions, which lead to the turnovers. Decisions you made in high school can't be made in D1. Each level you step up the decision making at game speed comes with practice and experience. Some get it right away, others take a couple years, and others never gain it.

But those who don't get it doesn't mean they shouldn't have had D1 offers.

His first ball reaction is to penetrate. I would think his first instinct should be pass and move. He can't run the team the way Scoochie does, it does not work.

Totally disagree about the physical skills beside speed. He can t shoot, he can't handle and he makes terrible passes. Add that to his lack of game understanding and you do not have a D1 player in my opinion.

I was so proud of Darrell last night, holding his man to 1 point instead of 17. Archdeacon's article in this morning's DDN was very good. Darrell seems to have finally bought into Archie's emphasis on DEFENSE. Motto: If the defense is there, the rest will follow.
I wish it hadn't taken 2 1/2 years, but better late than never.
I think naming our Baby D player of the game was icing on the cake for him, showing that you don't have to score the most points to be instrumental.

Nearly all of which stem from making poor decisions - and being left with forcing a shot, or making a contested pass in traffic with no obvious outlet. Open court, passes are much better. He may well never get the decision making aspect, in which case he will never be anything more than a guy to spell the primary point guard.

I tend to agree, but from what I understand Archie wants him to run it like Scoochie but make better decisions. If true, he doesn't want him to be Kahri Price.

You hit the nail on the head. Being a PG is about decision making as much as anything else. Knowing when to get teammates involved and knowing when to push the pace and when to slow down. Unfortunately, I don't think Crosby has these skills.

I honestly don't see the physical tools at all.
