Assistant Coaches
Saw someone on Facebook noted that the roster web page has been updated and both Coach Ard and Coach House have been removed. Coach Harris still listed.
Not unexpected but sad to see them go.

I believe Coach Ard is with the University of Denver staff now as they named a new coach in Jim Turgeon. I know she will do well. Good luck to her and many thanks for what she did for the Flyers!

Maybe based on our lackluster recruiting over the last several years she was broomed.

She was hired by JJ. This is a good move for her. Hopefully, Gensler is a good hire and can get us some good players coming in. We have quite a few ships to give.

Breen, Scaife, Penn, Giacone were all Top-100 recruits. Penn and Scaife Top-50. Those are four of the last ones in fact. Not her fault two didnt make it here - three if you count Oglesby. That came about from the head coaching change fallout.

Interesting that Ryan Gensler hasn't been introduced as assistant coach yet.

Scary times for Coach Ard -- prayers for her.

Utah State WBB head coach Kayla Ard is out of the hospital after COVID-19 and a bout of angioedema led to her being placed in a medically induced coma and on a ventilator over the weekend

Why would you say that. USU WBB has never been good. Ever. Appears to be just the opposite.

They sacked her because she didn’t win. A lesson in management that Sullivan should note. Outl2 years of dismal results is bad, it’s compounded by the fact that we are not improving despite being in a weak conference and that a good case can be made that we got even worse this year. Further, there are no signs that would provide optimism that we are on the rebound. We made a mistake.

What you really mean is USU sacked her and will replace her with another HC and given resources and commitment that all but guarantees a continuation of the 40 years of absolutely sucking at basketball.
There has never once been a commitment by USU WBB to be good. Replacing coaches as they have with no difference in success is the strongest case one could possibly make to support that. Performance has never mattered at USU. Unlike say Dayton.

They way she was fired is so sad - for those of you who didn't watch the post game presser she's asked about next year and responds with she was told by the AD after the game she was fired - credit her for even attending the presser. The AD is a slime ball for the way it was handled no class at all.

Agree 100%. You get the team home. Wrap up the season end stuff that every program has. Bring the coach in for the talk. This is like 4-5 days max. You sure as heck don’t tell her within minutes of a game being over. The President needs to bring the AD in and return the favor based on the absolutely poor judgement in firing this coach.
