GMU 3, Flyers 2 - 2OT
Heartbreaker. Flyers go up 2-0 early in second half. GMU gets one back. Then they have a breakaway and Barrios comes out and commits a foul just outside the box. He gets a red and goes off and Flyers now play a man down with a keeper - Jack Steele - that has hardly played in two years. GMU scores a few minutes later to tie it up - Steele had no chance to save it.
Into OT. GMU has the better of the first OT. Flyers put on pressure to start 2nd OT. Mason comes back and there is a challenge in the deep corner where our defender has his legs swept out from under him - obvious foul but no call. All the defender can do from the ground is toe-poke it out for a Mason corner. GMU scores off the corner via a rebound shot off the post to a Mason player who slaps it in.
A real bummer as the ref blew the foul call that led to the corner. Currier and the whole Flyer team were livid - rightfully so.
