Hopefully with the season starting we don't have to read about 2012 recruits, who cares ... its 2008 baby.
How about a pre-season preview? Or something like that.

BB33, college hoops is a year round game. It doesn't stop just because one season starts. BG often leaves the locker room after a regular season road game to get on a plane and go to some podunk HS and watch a kid play the next night. The roundabout never stops.
So, yes, I guess we are interested in 2010 recruits. And 2012 recruits if we've got an offer out to them.

This is the one thing that amazes me. I've been a casual fan rooting for the Flyers, but since being involved in this site, and hearing about recruits, it amazes me that a college could put out a scholarship offer for a kid who is a freshman in high school. Staten is a junior in high school this year, so did he accept an offer last year as a sophomore, or the year before as a freshman?

BG has 5 scholarships to play around with in 2010. My guess is he wants to build a "team" class. He has his PG, he's closing in on his C/PF, Hill can be his SF/PF. Not all 5 of the recruits will be ranked as high as Staten, Payne, or even X commit JD Witherspoon. 2 or 3 of the recruits will be "role" recruits, not 4 star players.
Get an SG and a floating athlete type and we're looking at a potentially top 15 class nationally. Well, provide we get Payne, which I feel relevantly confident we will.

Looking at the talent on this Flyer team, I don't know why anyone would doubt BG's scouting judgement.
He knows talent.

I agree ... great talent in recruits looks awesome for the future.
But it still hasn't proved to Ncaa appearances, the only time we got there was with OP's players. So let's get some wins and worry about athleticism later.
