Willie does a good job jazzing it up but that trumpet player did a beautiful job with no embellishments. Think Karen Carpenter vs. Whitney Houston, different approaches but both great to listen to.

The trumpeter was awesome. Everyone was singing too! Would love to hear an entire brass band play the national anthem.

When you play the National Anthem you should really play it straight. The purpose is to focus the audience on the country and flag, not on the performer. So I thought the trumpet player did an excellent job off doing just that.
