3 point line will be farther back this year
Distance last year was 20'9".
New distance is 22'1.75".
So 16.75" farther back.
NBA 3 pt line is 22 feet in the corners and goes out to 23 feet 9 inches.

The committee said the line was moved to make the lane more available for drives from the perimeter, to slow the trend of making 3-pointers so prevalent and to create more offensive spacing by requiring the defense to cover more of the court.
They are expecting less threes to be taken.
I like this change, hopefully not so much catch and chuck.
