I can honestly say that this has been the most frustrating UD game I've ever seen, any time we cut to 8 or 7 with a chance to get it down to 4 or 5 we take a stupid shot or turn it over and give up an easy layup or three on the other end. It has happened at least five or six times in the last few minutes

SLU doing their best to keep us in the game. Dayton is forcing shots, not understanding roles and seem mentally and physically lethargic. No energy or fire. Really disappointed in this performance.

I don't care it is was only a 8 point loss - and we kept it close. This could have been and should have been at 20 point blowout. I don't care is SLU did not play all that well and should have put us away. We stunk. This game in SLU will be the 20 point blowout. Very frustrating loss. How may layups did we miss? Could Oliver have been worse? What was out shooting percentage, below zero? What a waste of two hours. At least it is only 1:10 PM and I have the rest of the afternoon.

The biggest difference between UD and SLU was on offense. When SLU had the ball they drove to make contact. When UD had the ball we drove to avoid contact, plain and simple. Dayton played like a bunch of wussies.

I can't understand how anyone can watch this game today and not distinguish between which is the better coached team.

The Ghost of Majerus lives. SLU totally took us out of our game today. Crews took Archie to school. The ESPN announcers desperately tried to make the game exciting, but the Arena sounded like a funeral parlor on national TV, and by the end of the game, the announcers were referring to us as "Akron."

I thought the defense was good enough to win the game.

They played hard and they battled to the end. They made some really careless mistakes such as Pierre losing that ball between his legs at the end.

The close in shots weren't gimmies except for a couple. You aren't going to make all of those but as Avid said, half of them produces a victory. And if the players look for contact that is a lot of free throw attempts


Oliver had a poor game offensively (doh), he looked really rushed on every shot he took. He had a lot of good shots, they just didn't go down

The guards need to attact the St Louis defense and look to pass instead of looking to score inside. There were some passes that were missed.

I would plan on playing pierre a lot more with his back to the basket next time and let him create

It would be nice to have a big guy that could attack loe. In the rematch I might have kavs face the basket and drive on loe.

I liked the move where Sibert faked going to the screen side (right) and took a step to his left and nailed a three pointer. Something to think about for the rematch

We can beat st louis but will need more from DMO, Price, Kavs to do it.

This team has shown the ability to learn from it's mistakes, hopefully that trend continues

I forgot to mention two key stats, St Louis had eight more blocks than UD and nine more assists.

It looks like UD wet the bed today. This is a BAD start to A10 play however I am going to hold off for 3 more games to respond to their progress / regression. Lets hope it isn't a carbon copy of last years start to A10 play!
