Another good set - UD winning 25-16. Got our block going that set, which is big for this team. 6 team errors that set - which is ok. 8 total in 2 sets is good.

Amanda gets 7.0 digs/set. WOW!!! Paige was at 5.3 which most matches would be the leader. Also an excellent job. Way to go girls!

In the post-match interview, Sheff said team has been on the road 17 of the last 25 nights. Ouch! I was wiped out driving to Minnesota on a Thursday (10 hours). Back home on Sunday evening (10 hours). Turning around on Thursday and driving to Lincoln (3.5 hours) then to Omaha on Saturday (1 hour) and back home on Monday (4.5 hours). Took me a week to re-charge. Of course these girls are a lot younger. LOL. But it sure is nice to spend a week sleeping in your own bed. And it will be nice to play in Frericks in front of Red Scare and the home crowd next weekend.

We are 2-0 in the A-10. Keep it rolling.

Hey UDBrian - here's a Sheff question for chalk talk...

On the stats, do they ever go back and correct stat errors, or is it just too time consuming and they punt?

There are a couple stat errors for the Duquesne match. They've had them in the past, but with only gametracker you never knew what happened. Now that Mike is calling the matches, you can catch them.

Whoever was running gametracker missed a couple stats and when you add up the official box score, UD's points don't add up.

UD had 44 kills, 3 aces and 13 blocks. That totals 60 points. Duquesne had 25 hitting errors of which 13 were our blocks to net out to 12 additional errors (UD points). They also had one ball handling error. That equals 13 errors/UD points when you add to 60 you come up with 73 points.

But UD scored 75 points (25 each set). So they are missing 2 points. I know one. Mike called Kray with a kill from the back row and gametracker didn't show the assist or the kill. (Set 3 @ 12-8). I also know in the 2nd set, Mike call UD with a triple block @ 11-5, but gametracker only showed Kray and Jess as the blockers. Becky was actually in between them according to Mike's call. So Becky's missing a block and the team actually had 13.5 blocks for the match, not 13. But that doesn't count as the additional point. However, for a team that has the chance to lead the nation in blocks/set, we might need that block assist in the end.

I tried to "find" the missing point off GT, but the only thing I could come up with was in Set 3 @ 15-9, they give Duquesne a point and it reads "attacking error" but doesn't identify anyone. It's probably there, I just have to look closer at all the entries.

We obviously scored 75, but the stats only add up to 73. Just curious if they ever correct anything? Kray deserves that kill and Jess or whoever deserve the assist, etc.

Two weeks ago the players were saying that they were sick of living out of a hotel so I can imagine how they are feeling now. They were already looking forward to playing at home last week but also feeling bad that they only had six home matches remaining. Rachael Broerman was concerned that people even realized they were still playing.
