Rick Bolus' Top 12 in Ohio
Terry Rozier 6-0 Sr. PG Shaker Heights (Louisville)
Kenny Kaminski 6-7 Sr. PF Medina (Michigan State)
Jalen Robinson 6-8 Sr. PF Columbus Northland (Dayton)
Deontae Hawkins 6-7 Sr. CF Dayton Dunbar (Wichita State)
Devon Scott 6-8 Sr. PF Columbus Northland (Dayton)
Shaheed Davis 6-7 Sr. CF Warren Harding
Kyle Molock 6-1 Sr. PG Dublin Coffman (St. Joseph's-PA)
Giovanni McKnight6-3 Sr. CG Middletown
Willie Moore 6-3 Sr. 2G Cincinnati Aiken ( Duquesne)
Malik London 6-8 Sr. C-F Chillicothe (Cleveland State)
Andre Yates 6-0 Sr. PG Dayton Dunbar (Creighton)
Desmond Ridenour6-1 Sr. CG Cleveland Benedictine
Couple of interesting things: Hawkins is rated a notch above Scott and Yates only one notch above Ridenour. Of course relative ratings on a list like this do not have much meaning. Who is this McKnight kid in Dayton's backyard and uncommitted?

McKnight is a senior. Willie Moore may be available.
This list is months old as well. I would Lavert might be well up an updated list.

Middletown PG/SG Geovonie McKnight is visiting Winthrop this weekend and will also visit Tennessee Tech. I wonder if he's down the list as a plan B or C for UD? Perhaps there are enough better guard options in play... only time will tell I suppose.

Wipe could be a nickname for a ballboy who committed to take his towel elsewhere. Willie Moore is supposed to find out the nature of his release today.

Word is full release. Would not be surprised if he ends up a Flyer.

The Duquesne message board says the same thing - full release. One person said they hope he doesn't end up a Dayton and another said that ESPN had Miami, OH as a strong possibility. I checked ESPN and it does list that he signed at Duquesne and that Miami was the other choice. I wonder if that is old information and if Miami has moved on...

Seems like he would be a good addition at this late date. Ranked worse than Thomas, but he might be the best they can get at this late date. Rivals 0 stars pg, Scout 3 stars pg, ESPN 2 stars, 82 grade, #124 sg in nation. Rivals page said he had an offer from Xavier. I guess I would take him. He's 6'3", that's pretty tall for a pg.

So we know the staff recruited but didn't offer initially. Does anyone know if there's mutual interest now that he has the full release?

Michigan State had a point guard who was 6'9". I would have taken him despite his excess height. (Magic Johnson)
Tall point guards with long arms can make excellent defenders. One of the weaknesses was the short guards that Dayton has had the last two seasons.

Same reason I thought we lost the baby with the bath water when Spearman left. He had long arms and was a pretty tall savvy defender at guard. With two short guards it's probable that we will have a match up challenge.

FWIW, Rivals and ESPN are showing that Shaheed Davis committed to Duquesne in January of 2012, so that would leave McKnight, Moore, and Ridenour as still available from that list. I guess I'm surprised that Davis didn't try to get a release like Moore did.
