Too late, at least for me. If they can't sense the urgency and get their swag back at this point, then when will they ever get it back this season?

As far as how I want things to go, I was going to post the video of the scene from Animal House where Bluto asks "Was it over when the Germans bombed Pearl Harbor?!", but there was too much profanity in it to be included on this board. Suffice to say...
"Wormer!? He's a dead man! Marmalarde!? DEAD!! NIEDERMAIERRRRR!?!?!?..."

So what's it gonna be you ask?
I'm betting we see one or all of the following tonite vs. Richmond:
-- A lineup change. Somebody sits; someone who has practiced well starts.
-- Layups-only offense. When you can't hit the broad side of a barn door why shoot jumpers--layups (and especially dunks) are the way to go.
-- Defensive fluidity. Zone? Press before there is more than 5 minutes left? Why the heck not!
-- Somebody you expect to step up bigtime does so. I'm guessing DP.
-- Someone you don't expect to step up bigtime also does. My vote is Ryan Mikesell.
Whatever happens I expect the Flyers to come out with the same intensity we saw in the last 10 minutes of the URI game.

Why didn't you add the following 2:
1. UD beats Richmond
2. Richmond beats UD

both games dead-heat statistically
losing either of final games won't be catastrophic. each was destined to be competitive even when we were peaking. worst losses of the year will be lasalle and rhode island.
to advance in the NCAA, we need to rediscover our chemistry, confidence, killer instinct ... PRIDE and team concept. that's what i'll be watching closely in the early going.
maybe archie showed them a highlight reel of season-to-date if it seems like a distant memory. same guys advanced to #13; kendall will shake more rust each time out.
-- winning both would be great and pleasantly surprising
-- losing at richmond, beating VCU understandable
-- losing both with bad execution and body language ... let's have faith

I think this game is going to tell us a lot. Will they show up and be the flyers that won 9 strait games and beat Iowa, and Vandy? Or will we see the team from the past 4 games. My heart tells me Archie will have them ready. We haven't really had a slump like this in two years so we are due...but then again I said that a week ago and look what happened. We shall see. Most importantly, we need to win this to just get morale back up. This team needs a confidence boost in a big way. We win this, we go into VCU with a little momentum.
I say we need to win two of the next three guaranteed games to feel COMFORTABLE going into the NCAA Tournament. I am sure we will probably get in if we just get one but you never really know. Nevertheless GO FLYERS!

Forgetting about our play the last couple of weeks, this is not a game I would have started watching with any confidence that we would win. It's senior night for Richmond. This is a team that has been good and bad. They beat Cal and N. Iowa. Lost to James Madison, WVU, Florida. They lost to VCU in OT and won @ GW in double OT.
Tonight, I am looking to see a team that looks much better than what we saw on Saturday, even if it is a loss. I am looking for hope for the VCU and A10 tourney. I am reserving enthusiasm now. I would like to really get back into it.

Never underestimate the power of senior night. It always gives the players a boost of extra energy. You've got players with mom, dad, girlfriends, family, ect ect ect in attendance. That, plus last home game ever, plus the underclassmen wanting to "win it for the seniors" means extra high energy.
If the Flyers don't come out firing right from the tip-off, it could mean an early hole to climb out of.
That being said, I think the Flyers come out determined, take the energy out of the Robins Center, and win by 8.

Texas was so overpowered by their Senior Night that they missed their first 14 shots and were never in the game against Kansas.
I hope Spiders and Longhorns are somehow related because right now there's nothing similar between Flyers and Jayhawks.

I respectfully disagree. I do agree that on paper these losses aren't catastrophic but if we lose both and don't have an impressive win in Brooklyn (IE lose first game or beat a bottom dweller and lose to a top 6 team) I think we don't get in.
Whether they say they don't or not, the committee looks at recent games. That + the oft mentioned fact that they had us way farther down that most last year tells me they will leave us out if we don't get out of this funk fast.
