That first set was painful to watch. Passing is abysmal. Giardina is running all over the court to try and get a good set.

UD had 1 block. They had 5. We have to find a block. The back row could be getting bombed if we aren't closing the block. That causes problems digging and getting the ball to the setter. How is serve receive?

1 set and 10 points played into the 2nd and Margo has 10 digs. That's huge. For the record, you don't get credit for any digs unless your team wins the point. It's not the passing score, which tells you how accurate the pass to the setter was, but she is having a monster dig match right now. I'd expect their coach to instruct them at half time to hit away from Margo

UD takes 2nd 25-14. Couple things. First we had 3.5 blocks that set. That's very good. 2nd Margo has 15 dis in 2 sets. That's very, very good. Finally Kendyll has only taken 2 swings which she converted to 2 kills. You have. To pass well to set the middles. So there very well could be a series of rotations where we are having trouble passing. It. Could be their best hitters are eating our lunch. It could be our personnel in the back row for those rotations. Might be something else. But we need to get Kendyll going. She play very well yesterday. Need to get her going on the block too

Good TO by UD up 18-16 in 3td but we weren't scoring any of our own points. Picked up 2 on their errors but SIUE was dictating the match. Good TO.

In a word, Whew. UD takes 3rd set 25-23 on an Amber ace. Made too many errors starting with our 18th point to make the end of this set iffy.

Agree 100 percent. It is good to play a team that can take advantage of mistskes

UD wins set 4 25-19 and the match 3-1. Middles took over the match at the end. Amber scored points 21 & 22. She then served and went out. Kendyll came in and scored 23 & 24. A SIUE error was the final point. Good to see someone take over and to get then the ball passing had to be good too.

I think both our middles played well yesterday too except for blocking. They got their block going today. But I'd give the match VIP to Margo.25 digs in 4 sets is over 6 per set and that's hard to do. Challenging match but we are 2-0 and hopefully learning a lot. Need to close it out 3-0 for the weekend.

Dayton had 10.5 blocks to SUIE 5 blocks after the first set. Not pretty by any means but a good opponent to take advantage of UD's mistakes.

siue started the match hitting everything hard and UD wasn't blocking much. There were a LOT of dig opportunities in the first set but even after that a lot of hard hit balls that made it past the block. I was impressed with their digging, UD had a lot of hard hit balls that were dug

After set 1 UD began to block better and it definitely affected SIUE's hitting style. Megan puts up a big block for a setter and seems to take blocking seriously

The team won and they were punished for their mistakes, a productive match

Had a chance to meet several parents today which is always nice, one parent said that nobody is as hard on the players as the parents, lol
