BG calls a timeout with London on the break to stop him from committing another turnover.
Seriously.
Then he puts in Stephen Thomas coming out of the timeout. Good move.

Well gang, its been good knowing you. I am almost certain that London making a jumper and Kurt swishing 2 free throws in a row is the last sign of the apocolypse.

That last 3 by Lasalle was nuts. I am kinda glad it ended the half we don't need them getting on a roll.

Well, if you would have told me UD would be up 11 at halftime, but Greogy would be chewing them out at halftime, I wouldn't believe you, but that is exactly what is going to happen.

some of our turnovers were atrocious. fortunate to be up 11. if we can take more care of the ball we should be ok. We hit shots and that was key. We will win this game with defense. If LaSalle gets room to start hitting shots, our chances go way down.

I'm going to guess that Thomas will not see the floor the rest of the game--foul for 2 and then the guy hits the 3 over him--it was a tough shot, but hey it still went in.
Chris Wright and Marcus Johnson need to take this game over
Get an early 3rd foul on Mbala

Rick rolled...classic.
I don't know what to think about a double digit lead at halftime on the road. And they had to punt the last two minutes for it to be that low. Like Ricky Bobby...I'm in shock. Team ran good. I'm not sure what to do with my hands.
I'm nervous in foreign territory.

I'm not sure why we called timeout when we did, but it would have been nice to have called a timeout after LaSalle's basket went in with 4 seconds on the clock. Setup a play, get some practice for late game situations, and maybe score. Instead the ball bounces under the hoop and time expires.

Please explain the TO when you have numbers on a break. Guess BG doesn't trust guard play.
Just because you have a "use it or loose it" TO in the first half, doesn't mean you have to use it on the break.

Idiosyncrasies
It's halftime and can somebody answer this?
Why do highschool and some college players (Huelsman in particular) raise their leg behind them and wipe their hand on the soles of their shoe. Both right and left.
It's such a gross habit, I just can't fathom what that does for a player. But lots of young players do it.

Grouchy are we?? I said that cause RL wasn't playing too good right then and he had at least 2 fouls. Plus, we haven't seen ST for a couple games, and we had a pretty good lead.

With LW or RL they probably would have fouled on the last shot. Four point play. I say that in gest, but geez, you can hardly blame ST on that last shot.

The camera work on this game has hit an all-time low. What is the producer/director thinking. It would be better if they only had the one camera available at midcourt so they wouldn't feel the need to give the end zone cameras equal time.

It cleans the dust off of your shoes and you get better traction. They also have that sticky pad on the sideline but you can't get over their during play.

It's cause you lick your fingers and smear the spit on the bottom of your shoes, and it gives you MUCH better traction, at least for a few seconds. That's kinda gross maybe, but it works.

was this a serious question?
gives more friction = better traction. floors get slick with dust and stuff and gets on shoes

Is it to much to ask Huelsman to have at least 2 games in a row where he is half way decent offensively

What does KH need to do to get subbed in for? Not a good stretch for him.

how many times do i need to say it. we keep coughing the ball up with with guys trying to do things outside their skill set, this game goes down to the last possession.

Lowery is just playing lazy in this game. La Salle was going to wake up offensively sometime, we just needed to match them. Instead, we've done nothing this half and have let them right back in the game.

I missed the first half, but it's hard to believe this is the same team that was up by 16. We've had a lot of shots go in and out, and they are capitalizing on a lot of size mismatches. We really need to move more on offense, and move the ball faster.
That first group coming out from halftime really did not show up coming out of the locker room.

Good to see us getting to the line and making it. Nice hesitation by lowry. Or as bucky says:

Why is KH right back in, and immediately does not block out and his man gets the rebound.

How do we get the reputation as the team whining about officiating in the A 10? I mean, LaSalle's announcers have spent the entire game complaining about it.

Yes, it was a serious question. Thanks to those who gave an answer.
Odd how the dust is so much worse than it was 40 years ago.

We're going to have to switch to zone if they keep one-on-one-ing us in the post with the guards.

I am no expert but I am pretty sure that if we do not get shots off we have no shot of scoring. Am I missing something here?
