Golden Shocka Defensive Player of the Year
I see this as a 2-way race, but won't opine further as I promised earlier not to make this exercise too cerebral.
So who is UD's best, most intimidating and effective defender? Starters only...
Vote away...

Whether they were the 5'9" PG's, quicker than lighting, or the 6'5" two guards that could jump out of the gym............Not to mention his rebounding...

If Pollard doesn't get some Royal votes, I'm disbanding the Roundtable!

Look at that picture....KD is behind the Providence player...how could that happen???

So you get excited the Pollard is just doing his job?
KD was gaurding two perimeter players at the same time, to keep the Providence player from kicking it back out for a 3.

KD. Exhibit A: KD's lockdown performance against Dunn. There's no need for conversation. That said, I welcome pics of the Boise State cheerleaders.

As soon as this Poll closes and Pollard is declared the winner, I'll post a couple dozen.

Welcome to UDPride Scoochie. We love ya man, but you have to admit your team mate Kyle is a better defender. Don't get me wrong, your good, he is just a tad better this season. But we like you running the point and your offense better, but don't tell Kyle I said that. We are looking forward to two more seasons with you two and your muscle man class mate Kendall. You could go down in history as one of the best classes of Flyers ever, keep up the hard work.
Of course I may be jumping the gun, maybe Scoochie didn't vote for himself. If it was someone else, we would love to hear your reasoning.

I voted Kyle, but Jordan got really good defensively as the season wore on, IMO.

Kyle is an easy choice and a deserving winner, but I voted for Sibert because he was our best team defender this season. Kyle is the best individual defender but I think Sibert actually led the team in steals by reading passing lanes and throwing smart double teams at the opponents bigs. There isn't a single bad defender amongst those choices though.

Isn't that like the Cornerback who gets all the interceptions because the QB doesn't throw toward the other cornerback?

It is a good thing as a Flyer fan when there are multiple guys on this team that fit the category for all of the Golden awards...It is nice being able to debate it...
Jordan was the best team defender...Pollard was the best impact/in your face defensive playmaker...Davis was the best man-man defender...

See Rollo, there you go again. You had to qualify it with "intimidating" defender. The best all-around defender with the toughest assignment every game is Kyle. But he is not intimidating. He's too small. But by the game's end, his man thinks he wrestled with a cobra.
Pollard is the intimidator.
DPY = Kyle.

I'm confused King. Are we voting for POY or is it PO the moment. That moment was momentous but it is KD by acclamation not by royal decree. But bring on the Boise finery.

Not until I'm done with my tantrum...which, by the way this Poll is going, might take a while.

If Notre Dame had Pollard and his defense last night, they'd have beaten UK by 20.
Regardless, congrats to KDavis who narrowly edged out my man for Defensive POY!
