They were talking all about the game on the Mich State sweet 16 broadcast. Because Travis Trice is a Wayne Alum.

Thanks UD69 and NCkevi. Looks like the two future Flyers had a decent game. Interesting pattern in St. Edward's scoring - 3 players had all but four of their points. Even the high school games are low-scoring, defensive struggles.

The Cleveland Plain Dealer:
"Xeyrius Williams: The Dayton commit had 13 points and eight rebounds. He was just a load to handle on the inside."
Music to my ears!
Archie probably also looked at Funderburk from St Ed's, who OSU and many others are after.

Williams had a heck of a stat line. Of the 8 boards, 5 were offensive rebounds. 2 blocks and 3 steals. He is more than just points. Looks like a typical Archie Miller baller.
And how about Trey Landers with 9 rebounds? wow.

That just has to be the son of the Funderburk who went to tOSU? If so I'd be scared to death--his dad was a headcase wasn't he?

What's the deal with Kipper Nichols? Class of 2015, but hasn't committed yet? Has he given any indication as to what schools he is leaning towards?
Ken Pomeroy has an algorithm on his site to predict where the top recruits will go. He gives Dayton a 51% chance of landing Kipper Nichols.

Not related. Different spelling. This one has no "e" at the end of his name.

He must be waiting for that Duke offer to come in. So far we are competing with Maryland and X, as the main threats. Archie has to decide whether he wants to use our last one on this guy. Hopefully we get someone bigger and better.

AM may be able to get bigger but it will be difficult to get better. Nichols is very good. The challenge is AM has already picked up Xerious and Mikesell that are both 2-4 types, Landers the next year and 2 years for Cooke.

I was watching on TV. I swear I heard a "Let's Go Flyers" chant in the middle of the second half as Landers and Williams buried consecutive shots.
