CBS Sports - great article
". . . 2014 will be known as the year a really good young coach named Archie Miller brought Dayton back to a national stage. He changed the outlook for the program.
You can't pay for that kind of moment. Look at this, and tell me you'll soon forget what the Flyers arrived at Saturday night."

Report today is that Marquette reached out to Ben Howland, former Pitt and UCLA coach.

The part I'm not too thrilled with,..
All the PR is great, of course,..I just wish there was a bit less media emphasis on how dismal the program has been for a generation. The media is covering our Sweet 16 as if we were Prairie View.
Throughout much of the BG era some Priders were saying that even though the Flyers were not in the Dance, or this and that, we were back in the national "conversation".
In my opinion, the current coverage of our exploites shows quite clearly that Dayton has not been in the national conversation for a very, very long time.
Now, most definitely, we are.
Go Flyers!

UAC, agree completely. Love all the pub UD is getting and this does NOTHING but help the program (regardless of what they talk about). As far as being in the national conversation, I think that UD has to dance 3 out of every 4 or 5 years from this point forward to truly make it back into the national spotlight and REMAIN there.
Excellent start.

In another thread there is a really great article about the Dayton fans in Buffalo. But, again, while the article is exceptionally complimentary of UD fans, throughout, emphasis is placed on how pathetic the UD BB program has been for decades.
I just wish there was less of that.
