NEW ARTICLE: Can't Pretend That it Didn't Happen

BEVERLY HILLS (MI) -- When it comes to the UD/UC game, you can choose to jump off the bandwagon after one loss or dismiss it as merely an aberration, but no one can deny that ‘it’ happened. Moving forward, the key for BG and the Boys is to make sure that whatever ‘it’ was, that ‘it’ doesn’t happen again -- ever…or at least in my lifetime.

Beat East Tennessee State and move on.

I’ve been begging Cincy resident Mike DeCourcy of The Sporting News to come to the UD/X game at the Arena to see what atmosphere is really like, but he always has a scheduling conflict. So of course, Mike attended the UC game:

Geez, of all the UD games you choose to attend you pick that one! I would imagine the Flyers looked even worse in person than they did on ESPN3, if that's even possible.

Did you get a chance to talk to BG after that fiasco?

Mike wrote me back:

He wasn't too discouraged, considering.

They had the Ole Miss win in the bag. This may be the most athletic D Flyers will face but they'll have to be ready if they face that kind of switching D again.
