Wow, I sure hope this is not a sign of what a decent team will do to our Flyers this year. If so, the A-10 slatge will be ugly. Just nothing good to say about tonights effort. Just have to put it behind us and get better.

A good coach? Mick Cronin? Go read UC's boards and make that statement and see if you get one person to agree with you.

Me neither. It just snowballed on us. We just got punked for some reason. I hope this will make us tougher going forward. We played scared for some reason. I would say one-third of our shots did not draw iron.
I'm not giving up on this group by any means, but we just got a lesson in b-ball 101.
Bring on Tennessee State---quickly.

Games like this happen
That may have been the worst game I have ever seen from this university. It was horrible. We ran no offense, coulndt rebound, couldnt shoot, couldnt defense, couldnt coach. The players looked lazy and soft. It was a nightmare. I really cant be mad at BG but I was disappointed he didnt pull the lets sub all the walk ons thing on the team to prove a point. This was one of the worst basektball games I have ever seen. Only two ways to go from here- Learn a lesson or get completely exposed and fall. Oh my god I cant get over how bad we played.

I don't know what your problem is with a comment like that, BG's adjustments have worked just fine till this game. Came from 16 down to beat Ole Miss. This is was a bad game all around, it happens sometimes, the real question is how they respond or rebound from it.
Guess some people live to bash others so I hope all you bashers sleep well tonight. We all know it sucked but to rehash it over and over shows some of you have some serious issues.
We are all disappointed but the sun will still rise tomorrow and the day after. Don't need to belabor it. It was what it was, a sound thrashing all around. Lessons to be learned thats for sure.

The disappointment is understandable but the rehashing got quite old. You would have thought this team was coming off of a 10 game losing streak instead of the 10 game winning streak that just ended.

Had two feelings about it myself. Pull the starters and put in the subs as stated or just keep the starters in and let them get so embarrassed they'll never let it happen again. We hope.

At the beginning of the year many of us were concerned about post play. We may have gained more scoring from the post but my oh my how we have paid for it on defense. Now we know the value Kurt brought to the game.

I expected a little more after being thrashed in the first half; instead (if possible) they came out even flatter in the second half...and that's coaching, like it or not.

Bg said it best in post game
He said all in all this was a bad week of basketball. Ole miss first half was bad, Monday was terrible, only parts of Wednesday were good and then tonight was downright awful- BG sounded pretty heated to say the least. I would not want to be one of those guys at practice. The seniors need to be leaders and step up. We will see what Searcy and Wright can do and how well they can get this team to respond

5 KH's would not have stopped that beating. How many wide open threes did we give up? Would KH have blocked those? Also all the FT attempts. KH would not have fouled? Could KH have scored 34 to keep us in the game? Him not being here is not the reason we lost.

Guys - did you really not see this coming?
Maybe not this bad - but still we aren't anywhere near the defensive team we were last year... and while our guys can indeed hit shots, when they are cold, they are stone cold.
Every game this year has showed signs of what we saw tonite.
Lets hope another perfect storm doesn't happen this season. I'm not sure we could play that bad again if we tried.
I can tell you one thing - I wouldn't want to be on that bus right now - or in practice this coming week. Gregory is going to have their ass.

UD has consistently not defended the "3" very well and generally when they don't, the other team mysteriously shoots the "3" well. Gee, I wonder if there's a correlation between lack of defensive pressure on the "3" and an opposing teams shooting well from the "3". I'd be willing to be there is...

No thats player execution or lack thereof. If you were watching the game then you saw air ball after air ball, missed layups some that hit the bottom of the rim. And how many balls were either stolen or knocked out of bounds from a player coming up from behind. Didn't see any of the coaches making those miscues....did you!!!
But I am sure you feel much better about yourself as once again you and others similarly situated can bash your favorite people. Ah life is good when you can feel good about self at others misfortunes.

And the KH haters still keep coming. KH would have brought some defense which was totally non existent tonight. With some defense early this might not have snowballed like it did. Right now we have no, thats as in none defense in the post. Cincy's post players were huge. Thats the most minutes I've seen Kav's play in a UD uni.
This will be a good video tape to breakout and hopefully learn from.

Don't believe anyone objected to the obvious disappointment of tonights performance. But the continual rehashing in venomous tones is what we object to. We got it and heard it the first time. Multiple postings of the same do get tiring and irritating.

Avid... Time to do like me. Head to the "medicine" cabinet, grab you favorite adult beverage, and move on. I am hoping like i am sure you are that this team will work out the kinks, start playing defense, and that our stars will start shining.
If not, at least my dirty martini still goes down easy. Feeling much calmer now than i did 30 minutes ago

Well ok.
Spent the two hours leading up to the game trying to find a sports bar to watch the game--no dice. Tried going to Barnes & Noble to bogart their free AT&T Wi-Fi--needed an AT&T password to get into the ESPN3 site. Settled for going to Majerle's Sports Bar with my UC buddy and listening to the WLW feed on his Droid. He mercifully turned it off early in the second half.
Yeah, that sucked. This team is not as good as many had come to believe, plus they ran into a team with something to prove. There's a LOT of work to do, hopefully BG & the team will get on it and learn something from this game.
I was at the 31-point shellacking we took at Fifth-Third back in 2003. This seemed eerily similar--we sounded scared (we definitely looked scared back in 2003). That said, that 2003-04 team finished very strong and made the NCAAs. The wheels may be a little wobbly right now, but they haven't fallen off. There's a lot more basketball to be played this year.

like i've told the student i've been tutoring the past 4 years when he had a bad exam day, everybody has an off day, you deal with it, learn from it and move on. lets hope these guys follow that advice.
glad i was snoozing after watching osu-mich (2am kick here) this would have ruined my buzz from that

I would love to think you are rigth Rasta, but my feelings for this team aren't limited to yesterday...ya, yesterday won't happen again, for about 60 more years, but there's a trend to the way we've played all year. It's more then "just one game" that happened. We've looked pathetic all year.

For all the razzing that Kurt got last year, (All of us our gulty). We are missing him inside defensively. It would not have mattered last night. Kurt was a force inside defensively. My thing with him was that he didnt get alot of rebounds but he cleared the path for our high flyers to come on in. Right now hwe dont have that guy in there. Out guys are trying to outjump people. Kurt for what its worth deserved alot better than what he got. He's gone though and this team needs to find some physicality inside.. Searcy looked like a little boy last night
