Pierre tidbit
found this while reading a Chad Ford article
As good as Ingram looked in those shooting drills, Murray looked even better. He rarely missed in the 90-minute workout I saw, even when he was standing five feet beyond the NBA 3-point line.
Murray's the type of player who really comes alive when the lights are on and kept pushing through repetitions of the star drill, trying to break the record for the most 3s hit in a two-minute period. He hit 22 in his first try -- just short of the record of 23, which he achieved on his second try. Then his workout partner, Dyshawn Pierre, made 24. Murray asked to go through the exhausting drill one more time and this time made 25.
Dyshawn Pierre, G/F, Sr., Dayton
Pierre is an off-the-radar guy that showed some things in his workout in New York. He's worth considering as a potential 3-and-D guy.
While his scoring numbers really flatlined after his sophomore season, and his 3-point percentage went down every year, he shot the ball very well in workouts, and defensively he has the tools to be a stopper.
The odds are against him as far as the draft goes, but I definitely think a team will pick him up and give him a try in summer league. If he makes it to the right team and opportunity, he could play in the NBA.

I really dislike the comment about his ppg going down each year. It went down each year because his teams kept getting better and better. Pierre has always and will always be a team player. I would never underestimate Dyshawn.

Does anyone know if Dyshawn is still working towards a degree from UD, and secondly, is he still pursuing any legal action against UD?

I would be more worried that his FG%, and 3pt% went down each year.

FWIW DP had a workout with the Sixers earlier this week.
http://www.nba.com/sixers/
There is a short interview with him. He mentions future workout with Clippers. Libertyballers.com also briefly mentioned him being a part of a group of players the Sixers are looking at for the D-League team. The Sixers do not have a 2nd round pick and have had about 15 players in for workouts in the past 3-4 days so the D-League mention seems to make sense.

Question about the NBA Development League...how many players actually make it to the NBA? It seems like very few. Any information on this?

From NBA D League...A record 174 players with NBA D-League experience were on NBA rosters at the end of the 2014-15 regular season, representing an all-time high 39 percent of the league.

Well, I won't say he can't improve his ball-handling as I never dreamed that CJ would have based on what we saw at UD, but just don't see the near the athleticism for DP to play the 2 position..

I think he's nowhere close to the universe of being a 2. No, I take that back. I KNOW he's not.
But he would make a great addition to a smart team needing a crafty player at the 3. San Antonio, Golden State, he could even find a good home with the Clippers as a backup with all those physical specimens around him.
