Dayton Pizza Poll
After sorting through the 70+replies and 30 different pizza place possibilities I came up with a top 10 of positive mentions. Marion's is great counted as a mention, Marion's sucks does not.
One of the favorite questions that I like to ask people is "If you had to pick one last meal including dessert, what would it be?" Going to refine that a bit and ask, "If you were on death row and were given one last Dayton pizza to eat what would it be?"

Flying Pizza Sicilian Squares, with no additional toppings. There’s no taste like it, anywhere.

No vote from me... Milano's "extreme meat" pizza would no doubt be my last meal!
(it's easily the best "left-over" pizza - eaten cold the next day)

That's some might high praise right there, may have to get one to go sometime and test out that theory.

For 20 years I was a season ticket holder living in Columbus. Usually it was my wife and me that made the trip but occasionally my older son and I would go. The two of us were the only Marion's lovers in the family. As a result, we would take advantage of our opportunity to enjoy our favorite pizza. We would stop on the way to the game and each order a large pepperoni pizza. On the way home we would call in a to go order for another large pepperoni and down it on the way home. Surprisingly we never weighed 300 pounds.

I haven't had Milano's pizza since they closed down the old location on campus and rebuilt it. Did it change much? I feel like the subs aren't as good as they were but maybe that's my memory being off

I believe I was the only poster on the other thread to mention Milano's. That surprised me. It is very good. We go to the one down on 741.

Quite honestly, Id rather buy a Dorothy Lane Market pizza, take it home and bake it. I think its better than just about any restaurant pie. Nobody can do crust like DLM.

I chose Cassano's, but I would want it served and shared by the girl in the pepperoni pizza bikini...

I recently came across Centerville Pizza and BBQ. Pretty good pizza. On Route 48 near mega-Kroger in Centerville.
Also, way out of Dayton, but Versailles Bowling Alley, chicken ranch pizza. Someday, someone will thank me.

Generally, I agree with you but there are some white pizzas that I would accept also. But certainly not BBQ chicken, taco or anything similar.

I'm not a white pizza fan, but that chicken ranch pizza is amazing.

Last pizza on Death Row:
Flying Pizza (NY Style) with pepperoni, anchovies, xtra cheese. What the heck, dbl the toppings! Anchovies guarantees I won't have to share

Says the guy who has paid compliments to both LaRosa's and Little Caesars?
LaRosa's? Has to be the worst pizza available to mankind. It has zero flavor. I wouldn't be able to tell I was eating pizza if I took a bite of LaRosa's with my eyes closed.
Little Caesar's? Most pizzas in the frozen food section of your local Kroger is better than this garbage. Totinos please!
Lol, it's all in fun though. Little Caesars and LaRosa's create a lot of jobs so it's nice that there are people who will frequent their place enough to keep them in business.

Short update on best pizza in Dayton. The Cleveland Plain Dealer often has "The best XXXX in each county." They did one on pizza and Old Scratch was their winner for Montgomery county.
